You should take a photo of it sometime and post it.

I'd do that with the canoe - not with Bass Trek...I like my back just the way it is.

Nope...sorry Russ...never enough :D

There is one place I fish and the boat never comes on the trailer straight. I finally noticed the ramp is tilted to one side instead of being level from side to side. I have tried backing the boat in a little deeper to get on the trailer straight but it has never worked for me. Once I found out I could pick up on the boat and pull it over that is what I have been doing. Don't know how much longer I can keep doing that at my age.

Would drive me crazy, why not set up your trailer so the boat can only go on one way?  Plenty of items aailiable out there so boat loading should not be an issue..

Glenn, you make excellent informative videos.  How about one on loading a boat?  (if you haven't already)

I've used all kinds of transom supports.  I now use DD26 Transom Savers and steering locks for my 2020 Mercury ProXS 150HP.  They're easier for me to use.  When launching, removed them and stored on the boat where they'd be easy to retrieve and install when coming out of water.  With the old style that attached to trailer I stored them in the truck adding extra steps to launching/loading.  Plus, I had to stoop over to hook them up.  Not so with the DD26 saving my back.

RMP makes a similar product but it's not available for a Merc 150.

Heavy aluminum construction gives durability and long life.

With M-Y Wedge, I liked them at first but they soon became disfigured.  In cold weather they could be very hard to attach.

They are rock hard in cold weather.  Luckily I can't fish here in the winter, so bitter cold weather really isn't a problem with it for me.

Enjoyed the video @Glenn, informative on both types of transom hardware. I did like the coverage regarding the change in pre-launch routines and how the steering locks pull everything together. I didn’t think steering locks made that much of a difference until I started using them. I do have both types and the DD26 system is one I prefer to use.
