This is my 1st BIGDAWG!!! 2005 Skeeter ZX225! Fell in love at first sight. Will Pick it up next week for GOOD!

If I had not run across my Gambler when I did, I was only a day or two away from buying a Skeeter with that same color scheme and a 250 Hammer on the back. Love those colors. Nice ride man.

Hasn't been a canoe or a 'yak on the thread for a couple of months so I'll contribute this for us small-water guys. I use this for my 11 local lakes - 4 acres to 201 acres. No wake lakes so I get where I want to go as fast as the bass boats :D

1996 nitro 170tf with a 115hp tracker engine. ive hit 54mph with gps by myself and with the full tourny load and a partner i hit about 50 with gps.  I also have side imaging on the console and an eagle 640 up front.  For the prop its a 21 pitch turbo racing prop which gives the boat a good hole shot.  then i also have a minn kota 65lb edge trolling motor up front. All in all i think that this boat is amazing and the nicest boat ive ever owned.

My home away from home. Upgraded from a 2003 Skeeter SX180 with a 115 four-stroke to this 2007 21i with a 250 VMAX last spring. Got to say I miss the fuel mileage of the four stroke, and also the need not to run two stoke oil($$$$). Those days when it's flat as glass and I'm cruising at 73+mph make up for it though!

It's kind of funny, I just looked through every boat in this thread, and all of the sweetest boats (in my book) or should I say, the ones that make me wonder if I might like them even better than mine, the owners all say something like > It's not much, but.... Nothing fancy, but....

Those kinds of statements make me want to grab them, shake them around, and say, "Dude ! WTH are you talking about !?!? That 15 or 16ft deep-V aluminum with that olive green paint is freaking sweeeet ! That 40 to 60 hp motor might be a little more than one needs... But dude ! You have plenty of boat there to catch any LMB that swims" !

Seriously, I have to admit, sometimes I catch myself thinking, well a little bigger boat, or a little more HP might help with this or that..... But wait a minute ! No it wouldn't !

It would just be more to haul, more to store, and more to take care of.

My boat was, and still really is, my dream boat. I love the size, the light weight, and the V hull. The power trim, and electric start are really nice too. I guess that might be the difference between myself, and most of the other owners of small aluminums. A lot of guys fish out of boats like mine, because they can't afford a high performance bass boat. I fish out of a small aluminum because I totally prefer it.

Sure, if I hit the lotto, I'd buy something I could take on the ocean.... and maybe 6 or 12 houseboats, to be kept on a bunch of different lakes.... But I'd continue to do my freshwater fishing out of my 14ft aluminum.... or one of my other 10, 14 ft aluminums :D

BTW, I do understand the reasoning for $50K+ bass boats..... With a lot of stuff, I'd like to go totally extreme myself. I could easily spend $200K+ on a truck, and if I had tons of money, I would. But as for my fishing boat, all of that size, weight, and prettiness would just get in the way of what's really important > my fishing !

That's just me though.

Here's mine. Tracker Topper 14. I did all the work to it. Took it today and did great besides battery dying. I'm impressed with the BPS Prowler 50 lb thrust motor. It really does get the job done. The boat was more steady than I thought too. Still trying to get use to the foot pedal and get my depth finder working properly. The pics date is wrong! I keep forgetting to set it on my camera.

It's nothing fancy but........................ Just messing Fish Chris for me its a huge upgrade from my 11' sears jon boat.

Sadly I caught nothing today not even a bite. It was nice to get out with my brother. My brother lost his only one right at the boat LOL!! Boy was he mad! Like I told him if I'm skunked he will be too!!

Hey Endless, I like it  :D

And hey BTW, while 12ft'ers seem to be everywhere (read; dime a dozen) as soon as you jump to 14ft, the number available seems to drop by 80%, and the price goes WAY up !

The difference in space is surprisingly big too !

Take care of that thing, and will give you many good years, and a TON of fine catches from it  :D
