You sure? I just bought a Shimano rod, and as always, it was not 20% off in the cart or checkout, but it was 20% off in the email confirmation.

positive. Some were already marked down 20% before the sale (some zodiac casting for example) but the zodiac spinning and expired b spinning didn’t change before and after the sale. And everything in my cart showed the clear discount except the rod and mag draft.

Megabass wasn't included either. Was going to grab another 110jr+ but it didn't apply the discount.

 

I will say in the past on brands (shimano) they couldn't discount publicly they did apply to it BUT you had to checkout completely and the receipt reflected the discount. Crappy way to gamble though.

I just placed an order for 6 items.  2 of the items were discounted.

Not exactly the same reel but close. Looking for TTUSV103H. Looked on Amazon and it was $209.

You may want to actually complete the checkout process then. TW doesn't show the 20% off for Shimano, Daiwa, Megabass in the cart, but will show the 20% off in your email order confirmation. Except for items that specifically say they don't qualify for advertised discounts, such as the MK Quest.

Give it a try, and if it doesn't show the discount in your email confirmation, go ahead and cancel the order.

I just wanted to confirm I ordered the tranx from reading this post and it DID come down in the conformation email. TW said as advertised than in my opinion. 

Use chat on their website to tell them you did not get the code. I did and they gave me the link on the spot.

I did.  My order is already on a FEDEX truck and the prices/notes I was talking about above were from my emailed order recipt.

Maybe call them and see if you can get a credit back? It worked for me. I added the coupon to my cart, then added the rod which showed full price. But then I checked out and the email confirmation took the 20% off.

weird.  I did the same.  Added the coupon to my cart, added all of my items, checked out.

TW Exclusion list from last TW sale:

Not too bad of a deal on Owner hooks with the discount. Grabbed some hover shots too figured I'd try something new.

Just placed my order for the Bates Hundo Reel.

 

Bates Reels are not on the exclusions list but when I put in my cart, it was still regular price. I called TW and asked what's up. Rep said that after you place order, the discount will apply. I did that placed order and discount price came up.

 

Rep said that if discount after placing order does does apply, call them and they will manually adjust.

 

Rep also mentioned that items like Bates Reels will not show discount in cart even if you have the 20% email. It only shows after order is placed.

 

Whew! Been wanting the Hundo since Icast last year!

Got on the chat with Jeff from TW this morning and he told me that everything except Minn Kota and HumminingBird is on sale  for the 20% discount. I ordered a Daiwa reel this morning and forgot to go through the email link and it charged me the full price, Got on the chat again and told them that I didn't get the discount, forgot about the going through the email link and he told me that he would correct it. Already got the refund. Some people gripe about TW but I have always got great service from them and I have been ordering them for years!!!

I owe you a beer or three.  The discount should have come off at the receipt for those for me.  A quick live chat and he's going to push the refund through.  That's nearly $50 you just saved me.

 

I wish they didn't do it that way.  If the discount had applied in my cart I probably would have gone with the expride B for an extra (prediscount) $60.  I'm not sad about the zodias by any stretch and I'm sure its perfect for me.  But I'm a sucker for a sale so I probably would have done it anyway.

 

 

If you did not get an email, it may be because you are using a vpn. Shut off your vpn and then try again. I did and got the 20% link instantly. Good luck.
