Wildfire

Featured Replies

We’ve got some bad fires going right now . I heard on the radio to evacuate, then they came back on and said the roads are all closed and to hunker in place. I’m a little worried about my family members that are right in the path of this thing.

Hope you and your family are safe. 🙏

Hope it gets extinguished and nobody harmed.

We're under a high wind alert.

I've got family in Panhandle, and Amarillo. Been keeping a close eye on it. I hope you all are safe and have minimal losses.

My son is good. They opened the highway and he made it home last night. His friend’s house caught fire though and we’re going to see what we can do to help out.

I hope the same for you and yours. Those fires popped up so fast in so many places , it was crazy.

Thank you for the prayers Russell. We need them. I just talked to the owner of the bait shop in Fritch and he said 150 homes have been damaged or burnt to the ground. I don’t know about injuries or deaths.

Saw on the news this a.m. that there are fires in western Oklahoma as well.  Houses burnt and livestock dead.  The livestock deal really upsets me.

One of the local ranchers had a thousand head and lost all of them but 43.

I’ve only heard of one fatality so far. She was an elderly lady that couldn’t get out of her house.

I really hope for her sake the smoke and heat got her first. That has to be one of the worst ways I can think of leaving this world.

Thinkin about you all out there.

Prayers for you. My youngest daughter is planning a hiking trip to Caprock canyon on Sunday.
