Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted June 14, 2024 Author Global Moderator Posted June 14, 2024 Found out Wong’s bait, he was letting a jigging spoon fall Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted June 14, 2024 Author Global Moderator Posted June 14, 2024 These guys are smashing them. I think Prince has caught one every throw for a while Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted June 14, 2024 Author Global Moderator Posted June 14, 2024 Crews with a 5 lber on a topwater walking bait! i think they said there were at least 6-8 fish over 5.5 lbs caught yesterday. On my stretch of the same river there might be one fish that big weighed in the entire 4 day event 😂 Quote
Super User Tennessee Boy Posted June 14, 2024 Super User Posted June 14, 2024 Crews better be careful where he’s at. He could encounter a cottonmouth, big foot, or some guys cooking meth. 🤣 1 2 Quote

Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted June 14, 2024 Super User Posted June 14, 2024 The fish are so scattered out right now because of the time of year, and lack of current that it really makes it hard for the scopers to do their thing as efficiently. Lake is fishing very tough today. Very few bags over 15lbs. Maybe B.A.S.S. will schedule the events in Alabama during the Fall next year, only way to make our fisheries look worse. By the time they leave Alabama, folks will think the state is one big Sabine River 🤣 Quote
PABASS Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 What a treat to watch the master flipper Greg, he goes on to talk about southern fisheries and bass suspend under matts and up north they are on bottom, not 5 minutes later catches one suspended under the grass matt! Love watching this type of fishing!! Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted June 14, 2024 Author Global Moderator Posted June 14, 2024 @AlabamaSpothunter, not so fast my friend! Basstrak is unofficial……. Biggest fish on tour all year was summer time lay lake. Beat out okeechobee, Seminole, and santee cooper. don’t be Lou Holtzing your state hahah id say smith is where you will see the smaller bags, wheeler is looking good from my perspective 1 Quote
Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted June 14, 2024 Super User Posted June 14, 2024 How dare you @TnRiver46.........I don't type with peanut butter stuck in the roof of my mouth 🤣 Christie's 9.4 last year on Lay Lake is the best catch I've seen since being back in the sport. He's got the video on his youtube channel. Epic catch and fish. 1 Quote
Pat Brown Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 This one has been a lot of fun for sure. Topwater!!! 😎😎😎 Quote

Pat Brown Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Topwater bites in the dark when you're by yourself are downright fatal! Use with caution! 😂😂😂😂 1 Quote

You find a fish here or there but it’s a needle in haystack scenario. Every once in a while you find a point holding them though. Always find it funny when outsiders roll in and you try to explain the ledge is where it drops from 3ft to 5 😂 Quote
Texas Flood Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Cox with a belly up bass in his livewell😬 Quote

One thing that strikes me as wrong is B.A.S.S. doesn't say at the weigh that the angler's weight is reduced because of a dead fish penalty. BMP lost last year to Davis Jr on Lay Lake because of a dead fish penalty......I was there and nobody, but Brandon said a word about it. Quote

Texas Flood Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 I could only find an article from 2016 but BASS said its a 4oz penalty per fish. Not sure if thats still true or not. Quote

Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted June 14, 2024 Super User Posted June 14, 2024 Amazing how B.A.S.S. always has so many tech difficulties on live and during weigh ins. MLF coverage is a million times better, and that really pains me to say. 1 Quote

Texas Flood Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 I see Cox weighed in at 12-11. Does anyone know if he ended up getting penalized for a dead fish? Seth Feider in the top 10? Glad to see him doing well. 2 Quote
