Without looking at that list, I knew that Wisconsin would be in the top 5.

Jump around is awesome at their sporting events.

UConn in the top 5 (or really top 10…) totally invalidated that list for me… but at least they got #1 right.

When it comes to football it's hard to beat Michigan, Penn State or Ohio State from the big ten. The SEC has a few winners as well.

It's not JUST about football according to the criteria.  That season lasts for 3+ months and then it's over.  I've been to football, basketball, and hockey in Madison.  It's the other sporting events and overall sporting experience that makes it what it is there.

If the rankings were solely based on football, an SEC school would win hands down.

I’m not a college sports fan. Not do I like Penn state but, can’t believe that they aren’t on the list given the whole support for that college here is a cult. Despite all the despicable things covered up.

NCAA national team records #1 UCLA, #2 Stanford, # 3 USC all California universities not mentioned.

It’s an opinion piece, but an SEC school did win

Based on what sport or sports?  If you factor football, basketball, baseball , softball, gymnastics, swimming, rugby, lacrosse, hockey cross country and track and field,  Texas and Oregon are at least top five.

The number one ranked school won the natinal

championship in baseball, made elite 8 in basketball, is ranked 7 in football, is always close to the top in softball, track and field, and cross country

The criteria is not based on success. The panel ranked schools based on the player and fan experience of the college sports at each school.

If Texas and Oregon have college ice hockey in any popular competitive capacity, I’ve got a bone to chew with you.
