New boat shoes!

Got to try these out in the constant gulf thunderstorms of southern Alabama last week, kept my feet dry all week. I could hear the words of Lieutenant Dan echoing in my ears, “take care of your feet!” Not only were they dry but quite comfy and stick to the boat surface well.

Didn’t they make your feet sweat?

I wore good socks with them so not bad at all, granted sweat is a part of life in southern Alabama, even on Christmas 😂 . I’m guessing you’d be fine in Missouri on a rainy day. Then again I’ve seen guys wear similar style boots way out in the ocean off the coast of FLA in bright sunshine.

I wanted to love those kinda boots, but they make my feet sweat so bad. Those look nice, though.

But Lt Dan, you ain’t got no legs…

They also match your seats!!! :D

Growing up in Florida and being in work boots 10 hours a day. Taking care of your feet is important lol.  Good wool socks even in the heat is amazing. Keeps feet dry and stench free. Good looking shoes.

That's odd.  I only wear wool when I want to keep my feet warm.

I wouldn't even consider wearing them in the summer time.  My feet would roast.

I go with synthetic in the warmer months.  Moisture-wicking.

Maybe the solution here are the rainbow colored monstrosities that @Bluebasser86 rocks?

Merino wool socks are moisture wicking naturally. My feet rot in all other socks. Odor and everything went down with merino wool blend. Darn tuff Vermont makes amazing socks. $20 a pair. But they come with a lifetime warranty. West then out they send ya new. All I wear day in day out

Not gonna lie I bank fish and always early early in the morning. And I’m tired of going to work with wet shoes and socks to change into my work boots. I bought a pair of the xtratuf 6 inch slip on deck boots in brown today so I can just throw them in my truck and put dry shoes on. They are seriously nice and comfy.

I have some almost identical to this, I think they're the same brand too. Absolutely my favorite yard shoes/kayak shoes/fishing shoes. If I have to wear something more than chaos.

Mine are pictured in the catfish photo in other species I just posted. Same color too. Great taste!

I put inserts in mine and am very comfortable all day in them. Thick socks are key. I wear Dickies work boot socks.

Not odd in the least.

Wool is the original super textile. Keeps you warm when cold..Keeps you cool when warm. Anti microbial. Anti odor. Wicking. Retains its properties even when wet. Flame resistant, etc etc

And modern merino blends do many of these things better.
