Spinnerbait for night fishing idea.

Does anyone ever use, or seen used, a large willow leaf for a night fishing spinnerbait? I am thinking of a single black willow leaf on a black spinnerbait.

Anyone have experience with such?

It will work. I have never used one but it will work. I use the Strike King Midnight Special because I have to use something,

For night ops, I like a single & slightly oversized Oklahoma or Mag Willow Blade.

And you know it's right when there are teeth marks on the blade.

I haven’t personally, but I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t work.

Thanks all.

I am thinking, if I ever get into some local tournaments that run past dark, I will have something a bit different than others by going with a willow vs a colorado. Might also want to run it a bit faster than a creep too.

I use a big willow leaf copper blade when fishing in extremely muddy water. Everybody says to use a Colorado because the bass can find it better. They have no problem  detecting the willow leaf . No doubt in my mind it would make a good night bait.

I’ll take the Colorado blade and just hope I’m using it better than the competition.

When I did a lot of night fishing, the best was around the spawn.  Nothing beat a black and red tandem spinner bait with #7 and 5 Colorado copper blades along with a split tail trailer either pork or plastic.

Night fishing a large single Colorado thumper (usually black) is my go to and has never failed to deliver.

I have had good success using single #7 copper willow leaf on a 1 ounce spinnerbait.

I have bought black spinnerbaits for night fishing, but I don't know that the color of a spinnerbait used at night is all that important.

If the willow leaf is large enough to give off a good vibration it will work.
