Why don’t you say you don’t want to fish.

Well I’m in a pickle. I was lifting weights at the gym and while doing preacher curls I felt a pop. Lo and behold, I ruptured my distal tendon on my right arm. The bicep is now balled up and I have extensive bruising and hematoma. I’m having an MRI Wednesday to determine what surgical method will be employed to correct it. I can’t throw batting practice or set the hook. It could be worse.

Dang. We sold our Preacher Curl bench after seeing and hearing of too many 40+ folks tearing biceps. I hope you have a speedy & painless recovery.

I tore my distal bicep tendon back in February and had to have surgery. I just came out of the brace last week and was told I still can't go fishing for at least another 8 weeks - and maybe not even then.

Believe me, I know it sucks right now but just do what the doctor says and you should be fine in the long run. My doctor assures me I will return to full use of my arm but the whole process will take 5-6 months after surgery.

I appreciate you Craig. Thanks for information and I hope you rehab quickly.

Hope you heal fast

Wow! I ruptured my bicep five years ago and to this day still have pain trying to curl-lift anything. No surgery option so just had to heal slowly but wished surgery would have been an option.

Hopefully you’re not right handed.

Good luck with the surgery and here’s to a speedy recovery. 👍🏼

MRI results: not a rupture. A complete tare and separation. Reattachment surgery next week. Let’s go. Thanks for the kind words guys.

Hopo your’e back to normal soon.

I pulled or tore a muscle in my upper chest over 7 years ago. It hurt really bad for 3 weeks or so , then slowly started improving. I have aggravated it a couple times since. 3 weeks ago I mowed the yard and the next day it felt just like the time 7 years ago. There is pain on the chest muscle , and underneath my arm to the elbow, that really hurts.

Will probably have it looked at once I get my teeth fixed !😅

Surgery went great. Had my first rehab. That went great. In the brace for four weeks. Zero pain. Let’s go.
