A Special Thank You for ReelMech

Featured Replies

Some know him as Davig G, some as "ReelMech", but whatever name you know him by, odds are, he has helped you understand the tools in your hand a little better.

This month, the staff nominated David for the "Br Elite member of the month" for Feb but David respectfully declined , not wanting folks to get the wrong idea, seeing as how he is also an advertiser on the site.

David's expertise, years of training, wealth of knowledge and willingness to share, makes him truly a very highly valued resource and member here.  For that, the staff just wants to say "Thanks"

So with that, I still wanted to give y'all a chance to say "thanks" too and share your story of how Reelmech has helped you.

Defintely a good choice! I respect his wishes,  he may be an advertiser

but HE CERTAINLY HELPS EVRYONE OUT FOR FREE AROUND HERE!

I will just keep him in My ELITE FOLDER

Thanks reelmechanic! You're the man .

I guess I understand why he doesn't want to be "nominated", but like Muddy said, he is still in my elite book. He has serviced my reels, given me great advice on reel maintenance, lots of rod building tips. Although he is a sponsor on the site, he is always willing to give FREE advice and share many years of valuable experience with fellow members.

I appreciate your input David!  :)

David is a great guy to talk to and deal with .....  he really is a class act .... he always helps ,,, and always seems to have great advice ...  ;D

It has been one of the best relations I ever had w/o knowing the individual personally.

He served my reels to perfection, he showed me how to service them and he supplied me with what I need.....and he also made rods compare to items from Wonderland.

I'm very appreciated of his contribution to this forum but much more of his friendship.

He's a mean spirited, ruthless, cantankerous old curmudgeon is what he is.   ;D

No wait, thats me. :)

Kidding aside, he's a great guy.  I very much appreciate what he shares with us here :)  Definitely "Elite" material.

Dave is the most customer friendly business person I have ever dealt with. When he tells you he will have your reels back to you in a certain time frame you can count on it. His word is gold.

Thanks, ReelMech for all your help. I have many of your posts saved. Great information.

while i haven't had any work done by him yet... the one thing i really like is how he doesn't slam on people who use different stuff than him. i know a lot of salesman and gun smiths that think they know everything and if you don't shoot what they do you are stupid. reelmech is totally different, while he still has his preferences he also respects your preferences. a stand up guy in my book.

Honest, realiable and reasonabe. My reel is better than new. Now got to figure out how to explain to my wife that those four new six week old reels need cleaned and updated. ;D

Great advice and honest, straightforward opinions.

David adds a special expertise to our Forum that we

all greatly appreciate. When you consider reel repair

or maintenance, I would HIGHLY recommend sending

your equipment to David Green, THE Reel Mechanic.

Once again our staff has done an awesome job

David I don't see how anyone could get the wrong idea cause you are the best at what you do bar none.

One of my first real(reel) problems I had I came here and posted. It was a simple question with a simple answer. But because I don't have many friends who fish, I came to this section of the forum. The question was so basic that nobody bothered to answer, EXCEPT Reel Mechanic and for that I am greatful.

My reels always cast too far when I get them back from him ;D ;D

I learn a lot from just reading his posts regarding other peoples' problems as I am sure lots of us do.  Plus he has taken the time to answer other questions for me via PM's.

Thanks David.  You are a true asset to this forum.

Thank you all for the kind words....... :)

This forum is my second home, and I will always do my best to "Pay It Forward"

Good Luck & Tight Lines To All In 08 !!!

David is a good guy.  he stands behind his work and honestly the fact that he declined being in the Elite only makes him that much more respectable.

I applaud you. :)

A BIG HAND FOR REEL MECH.

Being that David lives about 45 mins. from me , I have been to his shop several times last yr. He needs to bring one of his custom rods and supertuned reels up here in about 5-6 wks. We would probably not see another fisherman, but we might just see some bass. I think you know what I mean. :)

ksdog,

Ahhh BIG Spots, you name the day and I'm there.

Should I bring a nice custom for you and perch also??? :)

Perch....he is a poser. I think he fished one time last yr. and that was the day we saw you.....we did catch some nice ones though. Gas cap on his boat was stuck..... rusted on. I'll PM you when I start getting on 'em.

..... I will always do my best to "Pay It Forward"

That pretty much somes it up right there

Congrats David
