Maryland's Who's who!

Featured Replies

Want to check in again. Finally got on board for the year last Saturday. Caught about a 2lb LM at Cacapon Lake in Berkeley Springs. Used a Yum Dinger. My son caught about an 8 inch LM on a Yum Dinger too. Spent most of the time talking to a guy and couldn't fish much. It was windy and water was drawn down to dredge for their paddle boats. We didn't get our MD licenses but that seems to be where the action is from everyone's reports. We're hoping to hit the Potomac soon...looks water will be too high now. Also want to welcome the new members. You have joined a great place here. Hopefully we can report more often now.

Went to Loch Raven today and caught a new PB.  Scale said 5 pounds even.  Caught her on a 1/2 oz. chartreuse Booyah spinnerbait.  Also would have had a PB chain pickerel but he bit me off right before

Good to see you on the board for the year wv!

According to the Hancock gauge, the river peaked about 19ft and is on the decline now.

The river is shot for now, with the storms coming tomorrow not finding a back seat to go out. So depending on what the weather is in the morning I may go out for a little while tomorrow. If not its a day to do homework....yippee....

I have been fishing the Potomac for 30 years and have never heard of any pike in there? There are natural and tiger muskee in the Upper Potomac but no pike. Deep Creek has pike, pickerral, walleye, etc... just about every species of freshwater fish found in the state.

Fished Linganore on foot for about an hour and a half today around 3pm. Only caught 1 dink. Spent more time trees than I did the water, haha.

Quantum energy pt E100 HPT. Normally $189

Hit the pond next to Walmart Monocacy this morning. Fish were jumping everywhere, but could not get a single bite. Quite frustrating.

Hit the stick ups last night from 645-730. First cast a bass nailed my spinner. Went about 2.5 pounds no more bites after that. May head down there later on this evening as well

Hey all

I am from the Severn area. Arudel Mills is close by if that helps.

Looking to discuss/trade any holes people may fish within about 20 minutes of here. (I know, that's probably a lot of area).

I have fished for a long time, but got away from it for a long time too. Fish mostly alone or with my brother.

PM me if you don't want to post places on the net. I know there are some I wouldn't post to public!

Tight lines

I had the privilege to land this 7.11 toad for my good budy Brandon. It is his personal best. We were debating between two places to fish and we made the right choice.

A couple of weeks ago after a really good meal and before spawning that thing might have pushed 10 with that type of frame.

FYI, I'm available for invites and volunteer to arrive blindfolded.

Lake Linganore. Went out on foot from 4:30 to 6pm this evening. Caught a everything from Bluegill to Crappie from bass. Only landed about 5 LM, but with one large miss. Caught just about everything on a 1 1/2" Blue Minnow Rapala. I was on the shore side of the Indian caves. This was my catch of the day...
