Which size do you like?

8-)

I like the 3/8, 3-1/4" size.  It's a smallie killer up here.

x - 2

3 1/4" - 3/8 oz.

I don't know the weights but I like the baby size one. Never had much success on the larger ones. My best retrieve for this particular bait is very fast sharp twitches.

Not a huge fan of the Chug Bug anymore.  I went to the Rico and have had much more success.  I just don't like the price of the Rico's but they are a great topwater bait.

Chug Bug rocks.  One of the best topwaters ever.  I have a bunch os 3/8 oz.  I have some chrome with a blue back and some frog patterns.   I've caught bass at midday on the chrome/blue chug.

I love the large size, for LM especially. I've never done well with poppers for smallies, probably because I'm fishing deeper water usually. When I do throw a topwater out there, it's usually a 100 Sammy. Also, I did find that the smaller size Chug Bug didn't have nearly the dramatic action of the larger one. It's definitely a bass slayer!

I bought a half a dozen of them for $2 each about 5 yrs. back. I never caught a fish on them (my fault- i don't topwater much), repainted 2 of them, and took the feathered trebles off the rest to put on other baits.

what is this chug bug you speak of?

I use the 3 1/8 for bluefish and jacks and snook.  They occasionally get bit in half, but they work well.

Firetiger is my favorite color.  Size wise.  The mid one.  Its about 3.5-4" long.  I havent bought a new one since storm changed hands.

I like the smallest size chug bug for fishing ponds.  I use the baby bass color.  The bass go crazy for it.
