  1. This was a spammer that I missed last week. It doesn't happen often but do not respond to it.
  2. Right on. There's a blond joke in there somewhere.
  3. I was talking to an old timmer the other day and he uses something that totally blew me away. He looks for those cheep plastic patio chairs that people are alway throwing away when they break. He also buys them when they go on sale in the fall. One brick and some rope will weight it down perfectly and a five or more of them in the right spot can be deadly for fishing.
  4. Welcome

Welcome, We are glad to have you with us.
  6. Being sponsored is a real job. You have to be able to sell, promote, represent and work for the company and product that sponsors you. If you can do that better than most of the other people that are trying to get sponsored then it shouldn't matter how old you are. There are thousands of tournament anglers, guides, and fishermen trying to secure as many sponsors as they can. At eleven years old how are you going to be able to stand out above that croud?

  8. The thing I don't like about them is that you have to continually look down at the motor to tell what direction it is pointing. The other thing is if you need to make a quick turn to avoid a log or rocks you can't because the motor doesn't turn 180 degrees fast enough. There is an obvious advantage to cable steer.
  9. Putting the Florida/Northern Strain factor aside, there are several factors that cause these lakes to grow larger bass. The warmer climate has everything to do with it. The lakes rarely if ever get below 40 degrees. This allows shad and other fragile bait fish to live and thrive in these waters. The more food the faster and bigger the fish grow. The other thing is the length of the growing or feeding season. Some of these lakes get above 60 degrees as early as January and stay warm till late November. This causes the bass's metabolism to stay high for longer and therefore the bass are able to eat heavy for most of the year. In California it has a lot to do with the trout. Trout are fast growing packages of high protean with fins. They are stocked often in the popular lakes and the bass love them. The only problem with the trout is they don't live long in warmer water.
