  1. i havent lost that much gear the last 3 years. id be in after those baits. "sorry officer, couldnt make it to the restroom........." Try Depends. those things feel like a wet towel.
  2. its good for buying on vacation, beating the hell out of, and leaving there.

  6. i read the reports. i laughed as i read them. if this happens, youre either not very bright or should stick to spinning gear. i did play with one at BPS for a while. at the time my turn off was the reel was packed full of grease, now im finding this is the norm. ill also add, reviews are 90% motivated by having a problem with gear. i was loading my boat a few weeks back and an older man was walking by and he stopped to say never buy BPS series baitcasters. i said ok and also offered to look at the mans new gold Johnny Morris baitcaster. the line looked like it had been backlashed and then backlashed again. i started to remove the backlash and noticed the man did not run the line through the line leveler...............oops. those d**n Johnny Morris reels...........
  7. agreed. read the link and didnt see anything that bothered me.
  8. agreed. im tired of rods that are nothing more than keeping up with the jones.
  9. The Exceler is all aluminum, I'm thinking about purchasing that reel soon, is your dad's reel noisy? I've heard of that being a problem on the Excelers its very quiet. i like the reel very much.
  10. i like the blanks, i dont like how short the handles are. i put a weight kit on mine and its not so bad. in fact it makes a good bank lipless crank/light plastics rod.
  11. after the factory grease is cleaned out of the reel and a proper lube is done i think they make a good plastics reel. one thig about a plastics reel is they wont see the stress a cranking reel will (IMO). i got my old man a Exceler and after a bath it has worked great for the last season and a half. plus, its a Daiwa..............what could happen??
  12. that is something i wont fish with. maybe the thread should be titled "Was this a Shak E2?".
  13. how are some ways to put a good point back on hooks out on the water?
  14. not playing the jayhawks for a BB championship.
  15. Daiwa Sol/Falcon Cara T7 CCB-4-17MR. 7' MS great lipless cranking setup.
  16. is this a peace time tour? seams like a long time to be stationed out of the states. good luck.
  17. It's just graphite not gold friend the stuff is cheap id love for one poster to be able to confirm that price. So your calling me a liar then. would you like to see a confidential Invoice from a manufacture in order to belive it? don't think anyone could come up with that. think about it. A 600$ rod has a 15$ blank well a 100$ rod probably has a $2.50 blank so your 600$ is still 6x the cost of a 100$ rod Believe it or not it's true I don't think you are a liar. I just think you are mistaken. x2 you would think by now i would be smart enough to stay out of these threads.

  19. the first and only time i tried to do this the only thing that stopped me was noticing the front depth finder was showing bottom structure still. as far as the 101 part, we were all new to loading/unloading at one time. i personally would never not help a fellow boater trying to load/unload their boat. the biggest mistake i still see is backing the trailer too far into the water to load the boat.
  20. this thread is equal to eating a box of stale crackerjacks hoping for some great prize at the end.
  21. Since when is it a crime to be unprepared? this would be a great question to ask those who have no business with BP but still lost their livelihoods due to BP's irresponsibilities.
  22. id buy a great battery, a good trolling motor, a good depth finder, and fish it to death.
  23. I'm not a baseball fan either, but when I saw that story on ESPN.com I felt like somebody kicked me in the gut. After something like this, I just don't understand why the "purists" don't want instant replay. instant replay would be great. st. louis is now the 1985 world series champs. 8-)
