Sufix Siege mono
I'm on board with the Elite and Siege doing what I wanted them to. Great lines, the Siege being a little stiffer and more abrasion resistant.

Sebile Lures- Magic Swimmer
Glenn, I've found this tackle shop to have a little bit better selection than Cabelas's. http://sfttackle.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=page.display&page_id=25&Account_ID=51 The baits are sweeeet! 8-)

another snap question
I leave the split ring on, I think the snap + split ring makes for some good action.

The title of this thread is Please Release Me vs. Rejuvenade http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1205107829/0 I haven't used either one. Based on this thread, other articles, and opinions I have read on this forum I would use Please Release Me.

Suffix High Performance Braid Thoughts
What weight jigs and plastics are you throwing ? In moderate to heavy cover you can expect to break that 20 lb braid on a hard hookset. Up the pound test on the braid and back your drag off a touch if you're worried about breaking anything.

Tube Hook
Take a look at the Owner Rig n' Hook, they have a very wide gap for how long the shank is. Or a gammy G lock. Or an Owner J Bass

Gearing up for my first trip of '08!!
I arrived to rolling white horses and cold muddy water. I tried to tuck into the southern cove on the map and fish that wind blown point with no luck. The wind was blowing from the north on the main part of the lake, but when I got to my cove it was blowing right out of the cove. A little later in the season and that little point would have probably been dynamite as two visible wind currents were hitting each other at a right angle. On a plus side, my new gear worked well and my homemade spinnerbaits ran true. Good luck everyone and stay warm. Cory

first bass of '08-GREAT DAY!!!!! (pics)
Nice work dave! I had to deal with the same conditions, 45 and 20+ mph winds!! Didn't catch a thing. Remember to let out extra scope for your anchor in windy conditions!

Gearing up for my first trip of '08!!
Here's the weather....46°, cloudy, windy--20MPH NNW. Here's where I'm going. Haven't fished here a lot, this will be my second time from shore. I picked those areas because some are near obvious cover that I can access, others are points of deep water near shallow water, and lastly most are just out of the NNW wind. Not sure what the water temperature is or where the fish are, but that's the fun part. I don't know what to expect and am just excited to get out there and shake down some new gear, line, and lures. I will be throwing lipless cranks, spinner baits, suspending jerkbaits, and jigs. Hopefully some successful pictures tonight! And as always, what's followed by 2 days of rain (or other bad weather)? MONDAY!!!

First time using braid....need some advice
If you're using a spinning rod and light wire finesse jigs. Spool up some 50 lb braid on there and swing for the fences. I use a couple feet of flouro for my leaders. The cover determines what pound test, nothing less than 12.

I think I prefer PowerPro over Sufix Braid
Would you consider upping your braid to a minimum of 30 lb test on your casting gear? The heavier test should still cast well, be easier to pick out pack lashes, and have a higher tensile (I think that's the right word, shock strenght). There's not a lot of stretch, a line that might be able to slowly dead lift 20 lbs will pop a lot sooner being shock loaded. This combined with any weak points, ie. nicks, your knot, old backlashes, and the rest is history.

some new cranks
Those are some good looking cranks.

swivels and crankbaits
I agree 100%. If you're using the right sized snap, it's going to be rated for over 50 lbs.

Chartreuse stained or clear water colour?
Underwater, chartreuse turns into a really intense white only a few feet down. I think it's a little overbearing for largemouth in clear water.
