  1. Is that MF avid the old model or the new model? If it's the old, it's more medium than fast avid. I have one and I like jerkbaits and other moving lures on it. I would put the citica 100 on it too.
  2. Kinami makes a baby bass stick. It's a nice shade of light green with silver, gold, and black flake. I don't know if the fish think it looks like a baby bass, but I like it in clear water. You might check into some hand pour sites. Pretty much all of them will do custom colors.
  3. I use my split ring pliers and then a finishing nail to smooth out the inside. Have to watch out, it's easy to knock some paint of the nose with the pliers. How are you keeping the paint out of the weedguard hole?
  4. Thank you, can't wait to get going. Cory
  5. Is that the 103613?
  6. I disagree and think bass can pick out movement much better than we can.
  7. Just called my local BPS, no dice on the clear normans. I have spooks in flicker shad (green back, large silver flak glitter, clear sides and belly, red throat) and do well with them. Barlows it is.
  8. stamina and barlows are looking like the same thing, I've heard some rumors about the ones from janns. Hopefully they're not all from the same place. Thanks gang Cory
  9. I'm going to call up the bass pro, those unpainted normans would work well. I would go wood except that I want them to be mostly clear when I'm done. Cory
  10. Where can I find some quality unpainted/clear plastic crank bodies? Just looking to avoid buying poorly made and un-tunable cranks. Thanks Cory
  11. I might be wrong, but isn't KVD the guy who turned the chart. shad into the sex icon it is today?
  12. I knew I'd seen a similar type thing somewhere with a meteorological name. I was looking up tornado, hurricane, thunder...lol Awesome idea, the other ones you have to peg and your skirts look 10 X better.
  13. I used a citica 201 last summber with a 6.2:1 ratio. A faster gearing will get your bait back faster, giving you more casts. Lower gearing will give you more cranking power. As far as round reel or low profile, stick with what you're comfortable with. Have you thought of switching to braided line? 30 lb test will have the diameter of 8 lb mono, 40lb - 10lb dia. , 50lb -12 lb dia. These super lines slice through grass on hook sets, cast wonderfully, and have practically zero memory.
  14. Those look great!
  15. Very fresh dude, what weight are they? You know, if I could hold one in my hand I hold critique it a little better than in a tiny picture Want to trade one for one? Send me a PM if interested.

Lowe's and Home Depot carry a soldering pen that uses a little butane torch. They come with a bunch of different attachments, one is a blade that is used for cutting/melting through synthetic rope. They're about 15$ and refillable. They heat up fast and are useful for on water repairs/creations as they are windproof. Obviously a little overkill for a home remedy, but still, a great little tool.
  17. The flat eye arky style does well in the brush
  18. What are the action and power ratings for your rods? What technique do you use each one for? How important is casting distance? Help us help you
  19. Likes, dislikes, action, technique? Thanks Cory
  20. Dave, I'm on board with the fishing kayak crowd. They're so much faster than a kick boat and from the looks of them, have similar amounts of storage. With a small jon boat, the trailer should be light enough that you could wheel it down to the water by hand. Or you could just eat more Cory
  21. Mailed in a reel to return weeks ago after calling to get the protocol on how to do such things. No contact, no check, no credit...maybe it's not there yet...
  22. If it's big enough to eat and not going to make it. If I'm hungry and the fish is big enough to eat but not a big fish for the lake. I would release any record fish, after taking a picture, weight and measurements.
  23. Weightless, skirt forward, on heavy hook buzzed through pads...pausing in holes to let it do it's thing
  24. Eyes, dorsal fin, anal fins perpendicular to the body to improve glide, vertical forked tail
