  1. Welcome to the site Don, that is an awesome looking fly.
  2. My girlfriend really likes to go fishing. She likes everything about it, except the actual fishing part. Maybe you could put together something like this? This is our compromise. She lets me be who I am, and I build a state of the art sleeping bag and life jacket nest so she can enjoy the outdoors and do her puzzles.
  3. My brother got so lucky to find his! He literally showed up at a Target as they were taking 5 of them off the truck. The people at Target had no idea they were getting them either. My bro got one and someone else bought the other 4. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, right?
  4. I am not hating on any system, I just thought that chart was funny. Blue ray for the win right? I play first person shooters, mostly H3 and COD4 online, Bioshock is awesome too. I just have to remember to keep up my sacrifices to the microsoft gods... edit: why can I not abbreviate For The Win as the first letter of each word?
  5. What a great read and pretty fish. 8-)
  6. I'm impressed lkn bassman, very impressed!
  7. My least favorite condition is people cutting directly in front of me as I'm working down a bank or spot. Just because I have 30 lbs thrust and they have 250 HP... :-/
  8. You can apply it to line on reels as long as they have not been treated by any other product. I'm not sure how many layers it gets down into on already spooled line and can't recommend much there. Anybody?
  9. Yesterday got a chance to get out there for a few hours yesterday. I think the KVD stuff made all the difference. 15 lb flouro was casting like a breeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzeeeeeee
  10. Nice work, isn't it a good feeling to learn something new? How slow were you going?
  11. First time out to the Monocacy River today for a couple hours and wow what a pretty piece of country. Went with a friend who is more of a trout fisherman. The smallmouth's were eating well as the two I caught were full bellied and red eyed. Caught them on a green riverside tube. My first real experience river fishing and I'll be using less expensive jig heads next time. The set hard a few times on some rocks and that can get expensive really fast. It's tough to tell what is a scrappy little smallmouth and a what is a rock in fast moving water. Hopefully it's nice out again tomorrow 8-)
  12. Later this year get a mask on and take a dive with some of your favorite colors to see what they really look like underwater. Red goes dark gray pretty quick and chartreuse becomes a really bright white. Don't drown.
  13. I just respooled last night and used KVD line conditioner. I gave it a couple pumps as I spooled up. I noticed an immediate difference in the way the line feels, will have to see how it casts tomorrow. I don't know the preferred technique to recondition, but this is my plan. On the last cast of the day tie on something heavy and hurl it on out there. Spray, reel half way in, spray, all the way in, spray. Should get some conditioner on all of the "working" line.
  14. This time of year I like to fish them fast and if that's not working I fish them faster. And if that isn't working, I try something else.
  15. Haha, the famed fishery that is Liberty has quite a pull! I'm going to college at Mcdaniel, in westminster, md right now.
  16. Thanks for the report Mike, monday is the soonest I'll be able to get there. Should be fun!
  17. Cool idea ebby, do you have any pictures?
  18. Nice bling
  19. What about electric trolling motors and sonar units? Do you think fish become conditioned to those as well? I feel that fish on electric only reservoirs are harder to catch, not really sure, just a feeling.
  20. Awesome, I'll have to check it out this sunday.
  21. great fish, welcome back!

One of my friends believes that if they aren't biting a senko, they aren't biting at all. Be careful...
