  1. Lake Norman only has Spots and Largemouths. All of the other lakes you listed have smallmouths though.
  2. Make sure you know the regulations for the stream you are fishing. You don't want to get busted by a Warden fishing live bait or an illegal artificial lure where you aren't supposed to.
  3. I fished Jocassee a couple years ago. We camped out there for 4 days. It's a beautiful lake with some nice Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spots in it. It also has trout, but I did not catch any while I was there.
  4. 5/16 oz. Talon Hardball Finesse Jig GYCB Flappin' Hog
  5. 1. Kevin Harvick 2. Dave Blaney (I went to school with his son)
  6. 1. Copper Green Shad 2. Copper Perch
  7. I buy most of my WECs from his tackle shop. He has a nice stash there...
  8. Like others have said, the RC 1.5 is my favorite. I like the Copper Green color the best.
  9. Next time try what Glenn posted in this thread: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1128002349/22#22
  10. You would be better off with a moderate action. The slower action helps prevent the treble hooks from tearing out of the fishes mouth. I have noticed a difference in the hooked to landed ratio of crankbait bass when using a moderate action rod versus a fast action rod.
  11. I am, mostly thanks to some of the guys on here and TT. :
  12. That's a very nice Channel Cat.
  13. Are Halibut and Flounder the same thing? Here in North Carolina you never hear the word "Halibut" but you always hear the word "Flounder". No. Halibut live in deeper water and grow bigger. They are native to the Pacific.
  14. Curado E5, I use mine for cranks, it's perfect for the job.
  15. One thing not to skimp on is sunglasses. I used to use the $20 Wal-Mart specials, but I would get really bad headaches if I wore them for more than an hour or so. I gave those away and bought some Costa Del Mar, and haven't had that problem since.
  16. What rod are you using? You need a softer action rod to keep from pulling the hooks out. Don't set the hook to hard, just a quick sweep to the side will work.
  17. x2 Buy one rig for the $150 you have and then save $150 for a different one. A Shimano Sahara on a St. Croix Mojo Bass would be a good spinning rig for around $150.
  18. They sure beat Perogies (or what ever they're called).
  19. Most people hold their rod in their dominant hand. This means that left-handed fisherman often crank with there right hand and vice versa. The exception to this is that a lot of fishermen where brought up cranking with there right hand when there weren't any left-hand cranking reels.
  20. That's crazy. At our local pound it's ony $20 or $30 per dog to get them back.

    Thin out your weed guard.
  22. What ever happened to the Bird Flu that was supposed to get us all? :
  23. I will let them fight if they are on light line, or are hooked well and aren't a giant. Otherwise I try to pull them in ASAP.
