Crankbaits work great in clear water. I like throwing finesse cranks in clear water, the best colors for me have Ghost Sunfish and Classic.

I had the Ultralight Cardinal 100. It was a nice reel for a while but then the drag become rough and so did the retrieve. I replaced it with a Symetre 750 FI.

It happens all the time at one of the ponds I fish. The larger bass in there steal the biggest Bream we catch right off of the hook. I've never seen one go after a Bass though.

I have. InvizX is softer with a little less memory but has more stretch. Trilene 100% has better abrasion resistance but is not as soft. I like the Trilene 100% slightly better, but you can't go wrong with either one.

I fished the Uwharrie last June and caught my first two Smallmouth. You have to find the deeper holes in the river or you will only catch Sunfish.

Gimmick. Get a Tru Tungsten Shad or a Spro BBZ instead.

I like mine also. They have a really nice action when twitched under the surface. The bass come up and hammer it.

Get an UL rod with 4 lb. mono line, and some #6 and #8 circle hooks. For bait I either use crickets under a small float, or 2" plastic grubs without a float. You can also catch them on a fly rod (probably the most fun way to catch them).
