  1. Palomar It's the only one I know how to tie.
  2. 9-14 1 Spinnerbait 4 Crankbaits 1 Carolina rig 2 Jig 2 Worm 1 Senko 2 Topwater 1 Frog It really depends on the season. Most are kept in the rod lockers and swapped out as needed
  3. I concur with you 100% , these two changes affected the game way too much for me. X2, I'm onboard with the both of you.
  4. Buzzbaits on the dam on Lake Houston and there is deeper water on the backside of Sheldon that holds some large chuncks. Fish them as you would anywhere else with SB, worms, frogs, etc. Watch out for the large gator over in the back. He's always around but never bothers anyone.
  5. Where's Bartman? The goat is alive and well and grazing on the ivy. I'm for anyone but the cubs.
  6. It was meant as a joke. Thought it would make about as much sense as the current BCS.
  7. Whiskey and honey...Throw the honey out the window and chug the whiskey. The hangover will make you forget the rest.
  8. Luck Catt, Let me know what you think about the procedure and how they work for you. It will take a few days for them to really affect you so don't get upset if you think it was a bust at first. Good Luck and I hope you get a hot nurse.
  9. Why don't we have a conference with the 20 best teams. You could have a N, S, E, & W five team conference. They all could scheldule two D-II schools and 10 of any of the others in D-I for the 12 game scheldule. Take all the teams from the four conferences and seed them according to record That's a 20 team playoff. Means three extra games for each school for a total of 13 annual games. All playoff games could be seeded as bowl games. The top 20 could be picked from their won-loss records for the last 20 years. That way a team out of the mix could get in after several years if they got hot and bettered their last 20 year record.
  10. Rick, AKA, Maltese Falcon, I am not at all sure what they call the injections or how my doctor files them. I just refer to them as quarterly botox injections (Actually I cannot print what I really refer to them as), my doctor seems to enjoy giving them and she is really hot.
  11. Man, That sucks...Prayers sent...
  12. Nope, but would not be against it.
  13. Naturally the insurance company policy is not to pay for something that will keep you off the operating table. You would think they would rather pay for a 1,000.00 set of shots instead of a 40,000.00 surgery. My doctor has to file it as another procedure to get the company to approve the procedure. Go figure.
  14. It's a great opening line to get them to let their guard down.
  15. Well I'm home. To answer your questions, Botox is a highly expermental treatment for nerve pain, muscle spasms, and joint inflamation that is not yet approved for treatment. It works on some cases. It does work for me. When all else fails, surgery, steriod injections, etc., some doctors have found that it relieves pain, muscle spasms, and issues caused by cervical dystonia(That I have been diagnosed with). The dystonia is a disease that causes the neck, shoulder, and chest muscles to contract, causing the muscles to pull the head forward and down to one side(All the way to the shoulder or chest in some instances). Thankfully mine is not that bad; however it would progress to that stage without the shots. This was discovered as a cure several years ago by my doctor while treating a pro bull rider(Sorry, I cannot divuldge his name) that had destroted his left knee leaving him unable to walk and/or ride bulls. It worked wonders for me and he is back riding the circuit. I get 400 units of the Botox every 90 days and without it I would be almost bedridden. I was in bed for a while. I can really tell when it is time for the shots. The pain becomes intense and limits my activities. With it I am able to carry on a more normal life and most importantly, I am able to fish without a lot of pain. The pain never goes away, it just becomes a lot more easier to make it through the day. That's it in a nutshell.
  16. Appt. at 11:15 am to get my quarterly Botox injections. They really hurt. It takes a series of about 18-20 on each side of my neck, chest, and right shoulder done each quarter to keep me going. Wife usually hangs around just in case there are any left overs she can have but there never is. What a bummer. This is not covered by insurance since it is expermental. Just my luck. I hate insurance companies.
  17. And the amount of entry fee required. Contact some of the tackle shops in your area. They usually stock the brochures for any upcoming tournaments in a given area. Good luck, and be prepared to fish any number of ways depending on the pro you draw. Welcome to the site
  18. I have seven. I did have the luxury of returning them to the manufacturing plant here in Houston any time I happen to break one. Just walk in the back door and ask Lonnie and it was done. That has changed since the buyout. I still prefer them, even though the return policy is now left up to the Academy store that it was purchased. It is still not a problem getting any issue resolved and I will continue to fish with them. I have abused them and they keep me fishing. Great rod, just be sure of the type you want. Carry a spooled reel with you to the store and mount it w8ith a lure to check it out before you buy. They are all different once you mount a reel. Good luck.
  19. Guaranteed you are city born and raised.
  20. The cool mornings probably have a lot of hogs running for cover.
  21. If I was fishing for money I might(With your permission), otherwise I will find as many places like it and others that are producing and let you know. If we work it together we can keep each other on a few and if you want to try the Stow-a-way tournament one weekend let's go see if we can shag a little of their money. The fish are on the move. My deeper bites are beginning to be less and less reliable. Grass is the key and if I can locate several small patches that are not common knowledge I will let you know and we will keep them to ourselves. Good luck
  22. Check the starter to see if it is drawing all the amps while cranking. They can draw down a battery quick when they go bad. It probably will be this or the system posted in the above post.
  23. I may try to go again on Thursday or Friday. I want to see if I can get a bigger bite either in the grass or out on the river brushpiles. We'll see. Will keep you posted. FYI, I never went near your locations. I would never, ever fish any spot you told me about.
