Refuse to Use Spincast
What's considered "vry light"? And what rod were you using?

What's a "Beautiful" Reel?
One that catches me fish!!! Anyways, I'm not into bright colors on my reels. I like black or silver or a combo of the two.

Does Trilene XL Suck?
XL isn't brittle. It's extra limp or smooth casting. It's also not very abrasion resistant, but that's the whole point. If you want an abrasion resistant mono then buy XT (extra tough) or Big Game. If you want a superior managing line then get XL.

I am the worst fisherman in the history of bass fishing!
Where in Chicago do you live? I'm in the southwestern suburbs and if you're anywhere close I can show you a couple of spots that I usually have good luck. If you're averaging less than one fish per outing then you're missing a big piece of the puzzle. It's difficult to know what that piece is but something is missing.

Can't wait for E15
Ethanol has been used as the oxygenate of choice for YEARS. MTBE has been banned in Illinois since 2001 and it's replacement was ethanol so ethanol has been used as the oxygenate in 100% of your gas purchased at regular stations since AT LEAST then. That's a long time to have your check engine lights on.

Can't wait for E15
Well, the initial reasoning for E10 isn't for added fuel efficiency or to be more "green". The ethanol is added to oxygenate the gas so that it burns more completely thereby reducing emmissions. The addition of an oxygenate is required by the Clean Air Act. Ethanol replaced MTBE as the additive to oxygenate when MTBE was found to be carcinogenic and it started appearing in groundwater.

Owner vs Gamakatsu
I'd say that Owner's are a bit better, but if Gammies are on sale I'm not going to pass them up.

Soft plastics with salt in the bag
It bugs me too. I'm tempted to open the bag and pour in a bunch of water to get rid of it. That salt is a complete and utter waste.

Refuse to Use Spincast
Just because you haven't used one doesn't mean that they don't exist. Plus, the most important part of the setup in throwing light baits is going to be the right rod. The reel and line are secondary.

NEVER been so frustrated
In my opinion action is at least as important as power in this discussion. I fish weightless plastics with a M spinning rod with no real issues with the hooksets. It's a pretty fast action rod though. Another key is to skin hook the soft plastic (push the point of the hook all the way through the worm and then put just the point back in). This way you won't have to drive the hook through much plastic in order to get the hook in the fish's mouth. Also, how are you setting the hook? The hook you are using definately isn't too small, it may actually be too big.

Sentencing guidelines
His actual punishment is 30 days in jail, 2 years of house arrest, 8 years of probation, drivers license suspended for life, and 1,000 hours of community service. Plus whatever civil agreement was reached. Us armchair message board posters can think he deserves more time, but if the actual family of the victim is satisfied with the punishment then who are we to disagree?

Line Conditioners
Well, Trilene XL (extra limp) mono will likely gain some of the least benefit from a line conditioner. The line is specifically manufactured to not suffer from some of the main issues that a line conditioner will help with. Someone using a much stiffer line like flouro, co-poly, etc will likely be able to notice the difference. KVD on my 15 lb Trilene Big Game is very good. KVD on my 6 lb Trilene XL doesn't seem to do as much. To me that is unsurprising as the two different lines have two distinctly different properties and will likely benefit differently from the line conditioner.

How the heck..
Keep practicing until you CAN tell the difference. Until then set the hook A LOT.

Mattlure's hardgills...... WOW!!!!!!!!!!
If you haven't even tried them then you really don't have any room to comment on which one is better.

Do you use the white pages?
The ones that we get go straight to the recycling bin.

Space Monkey Surprise
This is definately the way to go. I was travelling for business when Sportsman's Warehouse went under and picked up probably a dozen packs of various RT baits for right around $3 a pack. Would've bought more but I got the last ones. Also got some netbait stuff, megastrike and hooks 40% percent off. If I have to pay retail I try and get it from TW. They're $5 a pack.

Space Monkey Surprise
Some days/locations a stick worm is going to produce better and some days a different profile will be preferred. The space monkey is a great bait, but it isn't 100% guaranteed to catch fish.

Here we go again
You must be pretty rich if you buying up investment bankers. They make a pretty good salary. No it doesn't "defeat the point of capitalism". It IS THE POINT OF CAPITALISM. The investment bankers work to either buy or sell companies. If they're working for the seller then their job is to get the highest price possible. If they're working for the buyer then their job is to get the lowest price possible. That's capitalism and that's their job. If I try and sell you something isn't it prudent of me to get the highest price that I can get? I can't even understand this paragraph. What are you trying to say? Your poor typing/word choice makes this one too painful to attempt to figure out. A broken clock is right twice a day. Ok, how about comparing April 2007 vs April 2008?

nutritional value of LMB
It's only going to have mercury in it if the water that it swims in has mercury in it.

Here we go again
Just to show you what your assumption really is. I'm glad that it doesn't work. I really don't want to be paying over $4 a gallon again.

Here we go again
Look the words up in a dictionary then. They're actually the opposite. They only provide analysis of historical trends which may or may not have any bearing on future trends. Of course you have. This is pretty much how it works. The market and the analysts come to an agreement (current price) as to the future value of the company. This is done by predicting future earnings. When those earnings substantially differ from the market's expectations then the stock must be repriced to be in line with the new data. Why are you acting like this is surprising? That only works for IPO's. The investment bankers are trying to get the best price that they can for their client (the company offering the shares). Analysts are different from investement bankers which leaves me confused as to why you are trying to bring investment bankers into this discussion. I suggest spending more time studying and less time trying to explain the markets on bassresource.
