are transducers brands-specific
And do not cut the end and try to splice on another connector, the length of the cable adds to the impedance of the unit.

Keeping a bass as a pet?
I don't think it should get ugly I just wouldn't do it myself unless I didn't have Koi in my pond.

"Low Budget" fishing videos
We will get to the bottom of these videos! We think its the same fish (We will just call him Billy for now) over and over. I compared the videos and the markings on Billy appear to be the same. We (BASS/OPS) think he uses a former Navy Seal aka (Scuba Joe) hook it to his line when we are not looking(slight of hand). We still don't believe the tree hugger ploy you used in the thread "keepin bass as a pet". I have contacted a tree hugger organization with contacts deep into the dark side of the department of wildlife preservation and he will be very carefully monitored by old ladies with binoculars from know on! Consider yourself on report (Double Secret Probation) so tread lightly and Free Billy the Bass.

depthfinder display in weedy lakes
I know this is not much help but did you call humminbird? I don't think muddy water would block your signal that much. Thick weeds right on your transducer maybe.

Keeping a bass as a pet?
I have a 4000 gal Koi pond my wife wants to through one bass in I keep telling her it would eat my Koi, she says they are to Big to eat. I told her no way and no turtles either. I don't think having a bass in in an aquarium is good or the fish to small, that would be like keeping a person in a closet with a litter box, tossing in a sandwich once in awhile.

Cranking Elbow?

Plastic Swimbait tips - swimming senkos etc
That is why you stick the eye of the hook up through the baits nose instead of threading the whole weighted hook through the nose. Little tip that tackletour shared. Also this post wasn't just for swimming senkos.....that was just my example of the type of swimbait I'm talking about. It was more toward the shad shapped swimbaits and the basstrix knockoffs. That was a great tip!

Will this damage a transducer???
I have heard the same BS about the transducer being out of the water so I asked a sonar guy at work today he said it wouldn't hurt it at all.
