Cool. What kayak did ya get? I have 4 rod holders on mine. Two installed in the yak itself and two more on a seat that I bought. I'd reccomend at least two. I usually never bring more than 3 rods on a trip. The main think with yak fishing is to KEEP IT SIMPLE!! just a handfull of your fav lures and two sometimes three rods. If you want any more tips or whatever on yak fishing just ask. I've got plenty to say! Ike 8-)

Red's in TX his dad's friend and the pond is in ny. You'll definatley going to want to have a good bluegill/perch population before you begin to stock it. We're trying to stock a friends' 1/2 acre pond. And everybody has said make sure you have a good bait population first. (makes sense don't it. ) We're going to wait a whole year after the first stocking of baitfish. All we're doing right now is throwing in any bluegill and perch we catch. Ike 8-)

I've heard a LOT of hype about this stuff (RW ;D ;D) I'm just wondering, what are the advantages, etc. What presentations do you use it for, and what # test do you reccomend. I figured I'd give it a shot and see how it goes. Thank's!!! Ike 8-)

Bitin Titains' www.bitintitan.com and Terminators T1 and T2s www.terminatorlures.com are my favs. I especiallly like the T1 painted blades. most of my spinnerbaits are Strike Kings and Booyahs. (I only have a few Terminators and Titains, they're kinda pricey....) I see you're from Texas. Academy has some nice ones for like $1.29. I like to buy cheap ones and modify them. (I usually modify every spinnerbait I use. ie; trim the skirt and a rattle switch blades, paint blades, etc.) My favorite colors are: Firetiger Red Blue White Black Chart. Chart./black (a sharpie works well for this.) Green Perch Gizzard Shad Speckled Trout & Pink. Ike 8-)

Since you were 6?!?! You're dad must have a heck of a lot of good fishing tackle if you were using a rod like that at 6 years old. I must've been deprived when I was a kid, I only got to use a Zebco with a worm and a bobber! You're right. My primary rig was a Rat L Trap with a Zebco 33. However, I always remember always hoping to use the "big rod" Which my dad would soemthimes let me use. When I was seven we found one for $25 at a garage sale. it was a 6'6' worm rod. That was my first "real" rod. I LOVED IT!! Sorry, I lied I've only been using AR for the past 9 years and 7 mothns. not a full decade. Hey, we're getting off topic.
