  1. I have never tried it but I wouldn't be above not trying it one of these days when the usual baits aren't producing. Sometimes all it takes is showing them something they haven't seen before.
  2. I have only used the JJs a little bit and there is no way that stuff doesn't cover up your scent. Every time I use it, it makes me want Italian real bad.
  3. I believe its on article on David Giudice and his sponsor, a Mental Health Center, for the Southern Open. I personally think its an inspiration for those with disabilities, but I can find the humor in it as well Oh no...Thats too much. I must read this article.
  4. Sounds like I am going to have to take me a fishing trip real soon.
  5. This version sounds much better.
  6. I own two 704C's and I couldn't be happier with them. My next one may very well be a 7'6" model.
  7. This thread has been a roller coaster. LOL
  8. You made a good choice. Sometimes it just helps to talk things out. I hope the new combo treats you well.
  9. The Powell is a light rod as well. I can only comment on the 7' Heavy powered rods though. Those things are built like tanks and have a ton of high quality features. They are actually outfitted better than the Carrots they just aren't as light. If you got it narrowed down to the E21, the Avid and the Powell, you simply cannot go wrong with either. If I am correct, they are all backed by subperb warranties and excellent customer service.
  10. I have a couple Powell's and absolutely love them. Having said that, I would actually recommend the Carrot Stix. They have a really nice action for throwing cranks and so on. The main reason I am suggesting the E21 is because they are the lightest rod on the list and I believe it would compliment your 51mg awesomely. If you have a super light reel, you might as well get a rod to match. Good luck. Let us know what you decide on.
  11. That is a beautiful setup. There are some insanely talented guys on this forum.
  12. This guy knows whats up. This is what I use as well.
  13. Its just a good shad color in my opinion.
  14. Awesome post, man. Thanks a bunch.
  15. It doesn't have anything to do with planning skills. There is something wrong when you pay way more than you should for standard five day shipping and it takes them two to five days to process your order. If Tackle Warehouse can get me an item from California to Kentucky in three days for FREE, why can't Bass Pro come anywhere close to doing the same. Also, don't get me started on the one time I paid for overnight shipping and it took 3 days to process my order.
  16. I am a big fan of this too. Too bad I don't have cable, though.
  17. I have been thinking about this rod as well. I am glad you like it.
  18. Catt, if I end up knowing half of what you know about bass and fishing for them I will feel like I am doing pretty darn good. Your advice has helped me several times. Thanks!!!
  19. My grandfather and I used to slay the catfish on a trotline loaded with hotdogs. Cut them in 1/4s and have at it. It doesn't hurt if they are a little sour either.
  20. Now that is an awesome warranty!!! As soon as I can afford a GLX I will have one.
  21. You couldn't have picked a better company. Almost all of the long-time members on this board use Tackle Warehouse for most of their online tackle "needs".
  22. I personally wouldn't go any less that 15 or 17 pound test. You may only be able to find up to 12 at Wal-Mart though.
  23. J, that is an awesome fish. I have yet to catch anything worthwhile this year but when I do, I hope it eats my bait like that one did! Good Job!
