  1. I say Zillion all day long. And I am a big Revo fan. Really though, I do not think you can go wrong with either but from a general cosmetic standpoint, the Zillion pwns. You know they are both solid performers, though. Tackle Warehouse has a new plan with Diawa reels where you can test one out for a week for 20 bucks (Zillion included). May be worth checking out in your situation.
  2. That is insane! "It is an awful lot of fun to blow away a Corvette with an electric Datsun."
  3. I just saw this earlier today and was going to post about it too. These are truly beautiful baits. I am seriously considering getting one when the sinking models become available.
  4. At least there is that. He will be missed but not forgotten.
  5. I have been playing for about 12 years. I haven't played nearly as much as I used to now that I got bass fishing on the brain . The good thing about it is that its always there when you want it though.
  6. I am in. Send it my way whenever you want to. I look forward to some of the pictures you guys start posting soon.
  7. That picture is downright scary!
  8. I have owned two Premier's and they were both pretty light. I am surprised to hear that these rods are at least as heavy as a Heavy powered Bass Pro rod. The Premiere blanks are really light though so maybe it just needs a reel that balances it correctly. If it is a heavier stick, it may be why they are inexpensive.
  9. You fished with TheBeast for who knows how long and those reels are the ugliest things you have ever seen? In all seriousness, they are fugly.
  10. So you finally pulled the trigger, huh?! It looks worth it! That is one beautiful reel.
  11. That is a good deal. Good job! I paid the regular price for mine but if I can manage to not lose it, then I am sure it will end up catching its moneys worth. I hope you catch a bunch!!!
  12. Micro, that is good that they came through. I had actually considered not purchasing any more based on your experiences. If a company doesn't care enough to take care of their mishaps, they do not deserve the business they receive. I am glad Rat-L-Trap is not one of those brands. Thanks for sharing the whole story.
  13. I always add split rings to baits that do not include them because I think it makes it harder for a fish to get the leverage needed to throw the lure. If I were you I would cut the hooks off and add a split ring to the eyelet. If it is too hard to work with, you can unscrew the eyelet and add the split ring and the hook and then screw it back in. The glue is an alright idea and shouldn't hurt anything. I have added split rings to the Jitterbugs and also the Zara Spooks and I know some of those hook hangers are hard to deal with. Good luck.

I have tried several hard boxes excluding Falcon and could not find anything that I was real happy with. What I actually found was that Quantum makes a soft bag that is sold at most Wal-Mart stores. It has 10 tough plastic pages and so far it has been completely waterproof so none of my hooks have rusted. I actually use this to hold all of my terminal tackle and its also nice because you can leave your hooks in their packages and its easy to tell whats what. Good luck on whatever it is you decide to buy.
  15. It just depends really on the lure and my mood. Sometimes one and sometimes a whole bunch.
  16. I believe it was posted once before but maybe not. Its a really neat looking reel for sure. Japan gets all the cool stuff...
  17. I lucked into a score of just under 20 seconds with a rating of "pretty good".
  18. Hey, collecting baits is part of the fun of it all too. Its basically a whole different hobby within itself. Good luck on your hunt.
  19. I cannot seem to get a Fluke to produce for me here. I can catch the crap out of some bass on a Senko but for some reason and in the same situations, they just do not seem to want to eat that fluke. I spent the better part of last summer throwing that bait behind my buddy who was fishing topwaters in the mornings and got absolutely zero hits....teh entire time. I know they got to work...they look just like baitfish. I don't know whats up though.
  20. On some of the lakes I fish here in Kentucky, a Lucky Craft might as well be a custom lure. Quite a few people I talk to cannot hardly stand paying for a Rapala so Lucky Craft is surely out of the equation for them. I feel like I can clean up around here with a RC 1.5. I full well plan on ordering a few customs as well. Its got to be nice to fish a bait you 100% know the bass have never seen.
  21. Plus, the fish in that picture above was at least 15 pounds. I'm a giant. True story.
  22. You only wish you could catch small bass. That's right. I have seen your giant bluegill-imitation eating monster. NO skill there. Nope. None. Zero.
  23. I don't know who I think will win but I got to go with Martens for second because thats what he does...lol. KVD, Evers, and Horton are always contenders for sure. And I wouldn't mind seeing Clunn finish high either. The beauty of competitive fishing on this level is that you never know who will take it. Who doesn't love a sport like that?
  24. Muddy, you can still find the Mud Bugs on ebay...there are actually quite a few on there currently.
  25. That is one good looking spinner bait for sure. There is no way that thing doesn't work.
