  1. I am going to use a 7'6" carrot stick. Going to check them out tommorow
  2. If they could study the map prior they would do alright. They could just beat the bank all day too, and do just fine.
  3. I would say If you are keeping around 6-8 then something that will hold a good 160-200 yards of 6#.
  4. Not to burst your bubble, but I have heard of people having troubles with that twitchin' bar. My friend was sold on that reel, till he found out that the twitchin' bar is jut a hassle.
  5. I use them and the work great. Keeps your rods untangled and protects the guides
  6. What would be the best power for medium to deep cranks?
  7. Don't know a thing about either reel. But if you think you're sacrificing some reel quality to save the $40, then you might be always questioning yourself as to whether you should've bought the Supreme. And if that is true and you are planning to keep the reel for a long time, then I'd bite the bullet and spend the extra $40 now and you'll never have to second-guess yourself. Thats true, but if everything worked like that then I would have all GLX's and would be broke.
  8. 6# Yo Zuri Ultra Soft. And I hate Berkley Vanish it was terrible for me, I Sprayed KVD L&L on it and it did nothing.
  9. What would be a good starting swimbait that can be used on a 7'6" flipping stick. I am looking at sizes between 6"-8". Let me know of any good brands. Thanks -Dylan
  10. Try a carrot stick, or Step up to the St Croix LT, they both have the split grips. As for a good rod, I love my avid and I am sure the LT is just a step up with split grip.
  11. x4 on the senko, you pretty much have to try to have it not catch fish.
  12. Whats the difference between the two? Also if anyone has used either how do you like them and which would be best for crankbaits from 4-14ft M or MH? Thanks -Dylan
  13. What makes the difference in spinning reel quality? Like why is the Stella so expensive and why would it be better than any other spinning reel? I assume bearings have much to do with this, but does it have to do with components such as the bail system? Also I have heard drag is a huge factor but how smooth can it really be. I am looking to buy my first quality spinning reel and I want to know what I should be looking for. Thanks for any input. -Dylan
  14. There was a whole show on them on National Geography the other day. They seem like some angry fish. They put one in a Styrofoam container on ice for 24 hours and came back the next day and put it in water and it swam like nothing was different
  15. For that light? Medium or Medium light action. Or a spinning rod
  16. Quantums, the new ones look nice and from what i have heard they work great also.
  17. Eh they'll get over it. But I will use hot sauce on my PT's
  18. Im looking for a flippin stick, how are the powells?
  19. 7'6" if is heavy cover. I look at 7' as a standard for most of my applications. So for flipping and carolina rig rods I would use a bit larger.
  20. Nice, do they work?
  21. Some little asian kid sitting next to a big machine. Not sure what company tho.
  22. Caught a 10 inch walleye on a 9 inch Stick-o. didnt even fit in its mouth.
  23. There are alot of little parts that like to fall on the ground, good thing none fell on me . But it felt good to successfully pull apart and put back together the whole thing. Next I will do a thorough cleaning. My questions are which parts are most important to clean and lube and oil? I assume the bearings on the side plate near the braking, (I have an STX), also the spool tension knob. But what about the gears inside the reel? Do i grease them, and how so? Also what is your favorite reel oil/lubricant? Thanks -Dylan
  24. I have one, but it has no mapping capabilities. So its just a dot on the screen.
