bass pros and senkos
The Senko style bait is generally a slow presentation, cast and let sit. Pros will often have spots that they have found numerous fish and can run a crankbait or spinnerbait through alot faster than fishing the whole area with a senko. They find the active fish and also can find structure within that area in which then they go for an exact presentation like a jig, drop shot, shaky head etc. These baits can be worked right on the structure. So can a senko but these baits can be worked a bit faster. Also what distinguishes some pros from regular fisherman (like me) is that they often find deeped structure whether it be 10ft or 20ft and so on, they dont have time to wait for a senko to fall that depth. So they can just use something else that will get down quicker and be just as effective. A senko for me is alot of confidence, if I am not catching something its the first thing on. Just skip it under a dock and bam, but a few weekends ago I had a chigger craw sitting on my boat deck and decided to skip that under a dock...and well bam. So I'm not sure if its the senko shape that gets them to bite or the slow enticing fall of a weightless plastic.

Dick's Sporting Goods
One word of advice. Never go with out a $10 off $50 or more coupon. This coupon has probably gotten me over $200 worth of free stuff. Look online or I know if you go to an elite series event Mike Ike has stacks of them, just stock up.

Need a dropshot rod that won't break the bank
I love my 6'8" crucial. I would highly recommend a Crucial, light and very sensitive IMO. And the 6'8" is the perfect size for me, handles shallow DSing and Some deeper stuff as well.

Engine switch/motor size question.
Alright right now I have a 9.9hp on my 14ft aluminum boat, it is decent but I would enjoy just a little more speed. The plate on my boat that explains the top amount of hp is not there, I am guessing I could go with a 25hp and would be fine. The engine I have on now is really bulky I have seen some 40hp engines smaller. Also how hard would it be to switch from tiller steering to a wheel? Or if the motor is set up for a wheel how hard is it to switch to a tiller? Thanks Dylan

Humminbird 565 high speed transducer
Its all in the transducer placement, you must have some kind of disturbance around your transducer ie air bubbles, if you still have the manual for the 565 read through how to install the transducer and it will explain good and bad places. This should let you get pretty fast and still read bottom. One part in my manual for the 727 said it is hard to out run a sonar beam.

How to know the action of a rod...
I found they are mostly a fast action, any moderate rods are often in the cranking series of a rod line. And *** says what action most of there rods are so that might help you also.

Tour de France
I agree with muddy, Baseball has alot of stuff going on. Every single pitch is a whole new scenario. Some people think fishing is boring for the same reason.... He casts..... Reels in the lure.... Nothing.... RE DO cycle.

Shimano or St.Croix
I love my Avid, and my crucial's. Pretty equally actually. I have a drop shot Crucial, and a crucial flipping stick, these rods are very light and sensitive. IMO the avid is a little bit more sensitive, but also feels a little heavier and the power hump grip is something to get used to.

Hello From Rochester, NY
Very cool, any places you would recommend for a good outing? Boat or no Boat? No Boat, Durand Ponds all day everyday, tons of nice fish, pretty easy to catch and can try every type of bait. Have caught them on things from drop shots to frogs and everything in between. If you have a boat Irondequoit bay is a nice place to start, I haven't really been on it too awful much but when I have i have caught a few fish. If you want to travel a bit, Sodus bay is loaded with fish, and right next door, port bay; which has been very good to me so far.

Fish n ski boats
Yeah I have no storage what so ever on my boat, like two compartments that can maybe hold 6 370's and a few plastics. the back deck is barely enough to stand on and rods end up all over the place.
