  1. After a few years there where we hit it about as right a one could expect (53 bass over 7 lbs with 6 over 10 lbs all in 6 days) We missed a couple of years, But have been in very close contact with lodge owner and managers just about weekly. In fact Big fish Jeff made brief trip in Sept. Reported that he did very good and believes it's getting better. I am making tentative plans to do a fall 2024 trp. A lot needs to go right but if it does, my passport will once again be put to use. The owner Terry Holland has made a major commitment to the improving the accommodations, food & customers service we get there. So that's pretty nice. 2. Started 2024 the same way I've started the previous 43 years. Fighting gravity. Total Body Day 2 was on tap and I was reasonably motivated for it. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  3. I've been flying all over Mexico looking for your kayak as well . . . No Luck. A-Jay
  4. You're welcome ~ Also if you have Auto Chart - it's very interesting to chart out an area and then compare it to what's published. Many times it's right on the money. But every once in a while - there's an anomaly. I like those. A-Jay
  5. This one's pretty good ~ https://usa.fishermap.org/depth-map/ Just zoom in on a spot on the map and you should be good. A-Jay
  6. If you like the way a true fiberglass blank fishes, then I believe you will love that stick. If you've never fished a 100% glass rod, you may be surprised. My advice if that's the case is to understand & remember, that EVERYTHING happen slower. Especially the cast & the hookset. https://youtu.be/zvzjcAI4Fxg?feature=shared&t=142 A-Jay
  7. OK ~ Define light. A-Jay
  8. Best picture of the year for me. Although I'm not sure Tank would agree . . . A-Jay
  9. I have & fish the St Croix LTB Power Glass Cranker Rod ~ I like it. More info here . . . https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/249928-st-croix-ltb-power-glass-cranker-review-video/ A-Jay
  10. The 'Tank trying to get a photo experience'. We'll eventually get it but he certainly makes us earn it. #tankslife A-Jay

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow ~ Happy New year ! A-Jay
  12. 2023 Workout year in review ~ Man what a ride, from January straight through December. From rehabbing a bum knee, to trying to keep my poop in a group while my wife's heath sputtered. And as important as the 150 plus workouts completed were, maintaining the required deal for the 210 non-workout days, was even more critical. Seems every year the energy needed to keep this train on the tracks continues to increase. No magic beans, or no secret diet or workout system. Just 40 plus years of grinding. A-Jay
  13. Great Bass ~ And that smiles says it all ! Congrats A-Jay
  14. Nicely done by Mr. Anderson. With the exception of talking to the locals and studying past tournament results, I can & do relate to most all of this one. A-Jay 46°59'37.2"N 119°19'09.2"W
  15. Made a quick trip to the store for a few items this morning. We are getting a little snow locally, and I mean a little. It's a 16 mile rounds trip and there were TWO fender benders road side on the way home. We won't be up late nor will we be 'out' for the next two days. New Year's Eve is Amateur Night, always has been. Seems some folks are starting early. Can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning. Stay Safe A-Jay
  16. Fished the Mini Max more this season. Which was pretty easy, since I'd not throw them before the 2023 campaign. Just wish I got way bites with them. I certainly expected to. Maybe next year. A-Jay
  17. Article link won't load for me. DISREGARD, I AM A KNUCKLEHEAD. A-Jay
  18. Glad to hear it. Please continue posting here with your progress if you can. Sending you all the best old guy juju I can muster. A-Jay
  19. Plano's offering something ~ https://www.planooutdoors.com/kvd-signature-series-3600-speedbag-1592663 https://www.planooutdoors.com/kvd-signature-series-small-speedbag-1592664 https://www.planooutdoors.com/weekend-series-speedbags-1592879 I have 8 of the original speed bags that are a few years old now. They are not holding up well (bottoms are breaking down) These look better. A-Jay
  20. Workout #155 for 2023 and the last one of the year was Total Body Day 1. Wishing you all a Happy & Healthy New Year ! #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/MwRbG5lDADQ?feature=shared A-Jay

Seems northern Michigan has adopted a Zero Tolerance Policy on hard water this winter. Not surprisingly, I'm actually good with that. Observe the Lake Menderchuck open water trifecta yesterday. I am so conflicted right now . . . . A-Jay
  22. Wishful thinking & hoping for the best. A-Jay
  23. A-Rig for sure. Oh, and glide baits. But that's mostly because I sold them all last year. Come at me bro . . . A-Jay
  24. The state of Michigan 2023 licenses & regulations apply April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024. Covers the ice fishing season. Well, not so much this year. This year it was $26 for an annual Resident license and $76 non Resident Next years info is not available yet. In 2025 if I'm still here, I'll be eligible for the Senior (65 and over) Resident license for a whopping $11 Bucks. It pays to get old. A-Jay
