That knot is a knot I & millions of other saltwater anglers have used for Years - to tie a dropper line or hook off a mainline. In this instance the hook is being incorporated into the knot. As long as your definition of "worth fixing up" is very close to meaning "I have an abundance of disposable income that I have no problem expending, and I am very handy & knowledgeable when it comes to fiberglass hull repair, electrical work, as well as trailer reconditioning. Additionally I have tons of free time, and access to all the tools & materials I'll need to what will most likely be a complete refurbishment of this craft" Then I say go for it.
