St Croix Sniper Spinnerbait Rod
I have the TBC70MHMF / SWEEPER SPINNERBAIT ~ Though 3 inches longer and 0.1 ounce heavier - I really like it. A-Jay

Hair Jigs
I've always thought of the hair jig as more of a weighted fly type offering than a "Jig". So that's how I present & fish it. Accordingly, No trailer ever for me - seems to distract from the presentation quite a bit. But after that video - I'm rethinking this - Ike may really be onto something with that bacon deal . . . . Bait Eating Trees
I with Tom here and for me it's spinnerbaits. I really prefer the darkest of Moon-less nights in the summer, but loose situational awareness for just one minute, with a black night & no horizon, it's really easy to launch a bait right into the woods, or across two docks, or if you're really going good, into an open window ~ These baits are rarely recovered. Road To The Super Bowl!
Good Win - but the Pats player losses passed crazy a week ago. I'm afraid that although they are winning all the battles, there may not be enough left to win the War . . . . . A-Jay

Keeping Soft Plastics Fresh.
My plastics are kept in the original bag. Muliple opened bags (of same brands & type) are kept in gallon zip-loks. This has worked for me for both short & long term storage. All plastics get a slathering of Megastrike during use - Can't beat it. A-Jay

Split Rings On Crank Baits
I do not remove them but often switch out stock rings with Owner Hyper Wire Split rings. Especially in situations where I expect to be around over sized bass - Like down in Mexico for example. A-Jay

Mercury Verado Pro Vs Optimax Pro Xs
I'm doing a little homework. Trying to figure out what motor I want hanging on the back of the new Lund 1875 Pro V bass boat next spring. The pros & cons of 4 stroke compared to 2 stroke. The Oil tank or oil changes. The hydraulic auto like steering on the new Verado compared to the time tested steering on the XS. There are several ways to look at the differences and when it's all said & done it may all come down to personal preference. Then I came to the weight of each and almost fell out of my seat. Verado pro 200hp comes in at 635 and the XS lists at 505. OK, so what does that extra weight get me ? Then I compared the 250 & the 300 Verado's weight - It's The Same as the 200hp ~ 635 ? WHAT ? So basically All three Verado 's are the same they just chip them differently ? I'm kind of floored. I went into this leaning toward the XS - fairly heavily. But not wanting to miss out on a chance at the newest technology, I started digging into the Verado. I really liked what I was finding until I hit this gross weight disparity. Am I making too much of this? Am I missing something ? A-Jay
