  1. I have the TBC70MHMF / SWEEPER SPINNERBAIT ~ Though 3 inches longer and 0.1 ounce heavier - I really like it. A-Jay

I've always thought of the hair jig as more of a weighted fly type offering than a "Jig". So that's how I present & fish it. Accordingly, No trailer ever for me - seems to distract from the presentation quite a bit. But after that video - I'm rethinking this - Ike may really be onto something with that bacon deal . . . . A-Jay
  3. Way to stick with it ~ Congrats Good Luck tomorrow Stay Safe A-Jay
  4. I with Tom here and for me it's spinnerbaits. I really prefer the darkest of Moon-less nights in the summer, but loose situational awareness for just one minute, with a black night & no horizon, it's really easy to launch a bait right into the woods, or across two docks, or if you're really going good, into an open window ~ These baits are rarely recovered. 5. Couple of nice ones that I do believe you could have saved . . . Congrats anyway A-Jay
  6. LOL ~ I hear yea, but the weather didn't turn it's usual winter flavor nearly as fast as in the past. Sadly the Old Town has been covered in the back of the garage & been put up for the season. A-Jay
  7. Good Win - but the Pats player losses passed crazy a week ago. I'm afraid that although they are winning all the battles, there may not be enough left to win the War . . . . . A-Jay
  8. Sweet - perhaps you could slap some guides on it. Might make one heck of a flipping cue , I mean stick . . . A-Jay
  9. My plastics are kept in the original bag. Muliple opened bags (of same brands & type) are kept in gallon zip-loks. This has worked for me for both short & long term storage. All plastics get a slathering of Megastrike during use - Can't beat it. A-Jay
  10. ~ X2 ~ I'll echo All of that. A-Jay
  11. Thanks for the in put Jeff ~ the Break-in & every use warm ups especially - gotta do it. A-Jay
  12. Hello from up in Otsego County and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  13. I do not remove them but often switch out stock rings with Owner Hyper Wire Split rings. Especially in situations where I expect to be around over sized bass - Like down in Mexico for example. A-Jay
  14. Nice but for me that would be like Forrest Gump driving NASCAR ~ A-Jay
  15. Here's some basic stats ~ A-Jay https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/engines/outboard/compare/?e[]=158&e[]=245
  16. Have been. The dealer is my neighbor - good thing. Between the two engines ~ it looks like a wash more or less. Just depends on which way I prefer. A-Jay
  17. Hello Tom and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  18. X2 Wayne's a tough crowd ~ It only took 25k & a new boat . . . What's next - The Wheaties box ? ? ? Congrats again - I think the whole forum is pretty proud of your amazing accomplishment. A-Jay
  19. Sometimes less is more. A very short lift & drop back on a tight line produces for me with surprising regularity. A-Jay
  20. Good Luck my friend ~ Please say hello to Dr Vinny Boombatz & his staff for me. You'll be fine. A-Jay
  21. Cool Thank you. Prices look close enough now - I'm planning on going to a few of the outdoor & boat shows this winter. I'll be picking the brains of the humans there who are getting paid to be in the know. A-Jay
  22. I'm doing a little homework. Trying to figure out what motor I want hanging on the back of the new Lund 1875 Pro V bass boat next spring. The pros & cons of 4 stroke compared to 2 stroke. The Oil tank or oil changes. The hydraulic auto like steering on the new Verado compared to the time tested steering on the XS. There are several ways to look at the differences and when it's all said & done it may all come down to personal preference. Then I came to the weight of each and almost fell out of my seat. Verado pro 200hp comes in at 635 and the XS lists at 505. OK, so what does that extra weight get me ? Then I compared the 250 & the 300 Verado's weight - It's The Same as the 200hp ~ 635 ? WHAT ? So basically All three Verado 's are the same they just chip them differently ? I'm kind of floored. I went into this leaning toward the XS - fairly heavily. But not wanting to miss out on a chance at the newest technology, I started digging into the Verado. I really liked what I was finding until I hit this gross weight disparity. Am I making too much of this? Am I missing something ? A-Jay
  23. Just checked them out - that's a pretty wild design. Cool though. Looks Fast. A-Jay
  24. Killer Vocal ~ And I'm always a sucker for a good Acoustic Cover song. Thanks for sharing. A-Jay
