  1. Razors and nair are for wimps. A couple shots of bourbon and some duct tape will usually do the trick. ;D Brute
  2. Thanks Glenn. You sure know how to make an old guy feel even older. ;D Brute
  3. I think he can hold his breath for a long time too. He is under the water and keeps wrapping my cranks around submerged cover, limbs, rocks etc. > Brute
  4. I am going hunting this weekend in north Florida and they are predicting 15 deg. > I keep telling myself it will be fun. :-/ Brute
  5. I have seen quite a few gators this year while out fishing. You want to talk about a top water bite. Don't ask me how I know. ;D Brute
  6. I have a 1974 Nova that has been in my garage for about 20 years. I paid $1000 for it and since then have put a lot of time and money in it. I used to drag race with it, but now just drive it on the street every now and then. Brute
  7. Florida 20 lb 2 oz in 1923 Brute
  8. When I bought my new Tracker last year, I contacted 4 dealers and they were all the same price. None of them would budge on the pricing because it is set by Tracker no matter where you purchase the boat. I did wait until they were offering BPS gift cards with the purchase, but they all offered those cards at the same time. The only way to get the best deal is to buy one close to home so you don't use as much gas towing it home. Brute
  9. Our daughter graduated from Florida 2 years ago so naturally I will be rooting for the Gators all the way. If the game starts to go south, I will have to listen to my wife like a sailor. She is usually not like that, but something about Gator football gets her blood flowing. Brute
  10. I have a Mitchell 300 on my boat that my late Father had purchased around 1960. It still works today like it did almost 50 years ago. I have a few rods and reels on the boat so it does not get used constantly, but when I reach for it, I know it will work. Brute
  11. Hey Fishing Rhino, If you only knew. I can bust up some stuff with the best of them. > One of the reels was my late fathers and is over 50 years old. I'm extra careful with that one. Brute
  12. Some of the stuff on my boat is older than I am and I'm 46. I think my golf clubs are about as old as I am too. Brute
  13. I don't know if the bait monkey controls clothing or not, but I do not own enough clothes to keep me warm in that weather. We have a cold front coming through today and the high will only be 73. I just might have to go and find my long pants. Brute
  14. It's kind of hard for me to answer that question. I haven't stopped fishing yet. It was 78 deg here this weekend. I sure do love Florida. :) Brute
  15. Ribeye medium rare. It doesn't get any better than that. mmmmmmmmmm Brute
  16. I don't know what you consider outrageous, but I would give these guys a call. Tarpon Toms Bait and Tackle 727-772-0708 I have heard a lot of good things about their guide service. Brute
  17. I have been out on Lake Tarpon just about every weekend this year. Pretty good fishing and I have had some success. Caught a few in the 5 lb range this summer. The fish have moved now getting ready to spawn, but are not in the shallows yet. Still looking for them now. > Brute
  18. I got my first bait caster this year and am still getting used to it. It does take practice, but I would recommend that you first start with something on the heavier side. You can crank the brakes down on it and not get any backlashes. After you get used to it, you can go to lighter baits. Brute
  19. I got some stainless steel piano hinges for a machine at work. They open about 270 degrees. I picked them up at a truck supply store. I think these will be your best bet. Brute
  20. When I bought my new Tracker earlier this year I checked with 5 different dealers around me all within 100 miles. Every single one was the same exact price. I guess they average the shipping from the factory and add it on to all boats. From what I understand, they are set up with "no haggle pricing" like some car dealers. I did purchase mine when they were giving BPS gift cards out though. Brute
  21. It doesn't look anything like me. > Well maybe after a late night. ;D Brute
  22. My wife and I went to the AC/DC concert Sunday night. It was an early Christmas present for me. As old as those guys are, they still put a heck of a show on. I didn't want to be a wimp and wear ear plugs like my wife, but I sure wish I had. Man my ears are still ringing. Brute
  23. I have a Quantum reel with the flipping switch on it (model # ? ). The switch is very hard to turn on and off. I thought I would break something too, but all is fine. I know the switch works, I just don,t use it. Brute
  24. My Mom bought me a sweater every year for Christmas. I live in Florida. What the heck am I supposed to do with them? Anybody want to buy some sweaters? Brute

Heddon Prowler. The first bass I caught on an artificial lure many years ago was with one of these my Dad let me use. I saved my allowances to buy more of them and they are all gone. I still have 1 that is probably 40 years old, but I am afraid to get it wet. Brute
