  1. lmao @ My-Jammy ;D looks like a fantastic time. beautiful fish. 8-) no kidding about the c-100. a friend stays right on it and everytime im in his backyard , i cant help but comment about its clarity. i lied. he stays on the c-1 (cutler drain canal).
  2. i have an abu 602 on my light spinning rig. 8lb/140yds. i use 20/6 power pro with almost no management issues. i also have an abu 801 which holds 4lb/140yds (or 6lb/110yds). if i could find a braid that this little reel likes , i would fish with it all day. personally , i dont see myself using anything over a 2500 size spinning reel for bass fishing.
  3. ill second the clarus. i have the light/fast 6'6" model and love it. ive brought in mayan cichlids to peacock bass to 5+lb LM bass with no problems. probably my favorite rig i have.
  4. i was up there a few weeks ago. they already had things on clearance. so i had to pick some things up.
  5. ..... mini golf is fun.
  6. yup! it didnt take me long to figure out to wrap the line around pliers when pulling a snag. i use power pro and it was also noisy when i first spooled up. now thats its been fished , its more limp , less noisy and less colored.
  7. right now i have 2 citica 201d's (one has upgraded bearings and drag) ,one abu garcia 801 and one abu 602. i want to fish one of those citica e reels or just anything with a smaller frame than the 201d.

  9. i use plano boxes and never had any rust. packs of silica gel and making sure tackle is dry when you put it away always helps too.
  10. who cares? : everytime i read one of this kids posts , i have to sift through a bunch of BS posts about how his spelling sucks or how someone has more hair on their chin than he has on his crotch. you guys are like what , 40+? hes 15. it was kinda funny at first, not so much now. get over it. srsly.
  11. lol , i can surf the forum just fine on my nokia nuron. ;D
  12. eh , all my rods are full cork grips. ive never owned a split grip , but they look nifty. i rarely cast two-handed or use the fore grip , so i guess i prefer a slip grip/no fore grip even though ive never used one... :-?
  13. why do you think popeye looks the way he does? ;D i rarely ever throw anything over 3/4 oz (bait , weight , and hook total) , but when i do , i immediately feel pain in my arm as well. im too old for my age. :-/
  14. flukes and fluke jrs worked close to the top. top waters like a zara spook/puppy. DOA terror eyez. or live bait. peacocks on light spinning tackle is just fantastic. they like to be close to shore near drop offs. x2 , miami gardens isnt exactly known for being a safe area. good luck.
  15. i think i know exactly what video youre thinking of. iirc , it was posted in the general section in a thread called 'cool videos' a while ago. my search didnt turn up anything. i could be wrong though.
  16. wow ;D ;D ;D. Especially firing it into the boat :-/ x3.

nice. im off tomorrow but im a bit south of where you are. im in cutler bay (33157). did you bring any tackle? Oh man, 33157. Thats my old zip code when I used to live down south in Perrine. Home sweet home! thats funny. i stayed there a while ago , but ive been in cutler ridge for 12+ years. if you ever come down my way , hit me up.

actually , alot of the carribean peoples fish for mullet down here. i havnt tried it , but if you get past the bone , apparently its tasty. :-/
  20. whatever i grab out of my used baits bag. if i had to choose , fluke jr 4" lizard finesse worm.
  21. its possible. if youre line looks frayed , i would retie. ive used the same leader on 6+ fish without retying. while ive also had to retie after one fish that ran my line across the rocky drop off. if in doubt , retie. and keep your thumb off the spool when setting the hook. http://animatedknots.com/indexfishing.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.com i use the palomar and albright. sometimes if im having trouble tying one of those , ill go with a uni knot.
  22. Die in a fire. Glad you got back safely. Seems like dead batteries are becoming contagious... ;D ;D sorry , but i had to do it. seems like dead batteries are contagious lately.
