i loved my adidas sandals with the memory foam. one thing with that is , when you get them wet , dry them completely. they will start to grow nasty stuff in the foam and get very smelly.

not sure of the weight , but my biggest were caught on a weightless 8" taper tail worm ....... and a weightless zoom fluke jr.

eh. i dont stress it. most of my gear is either used from our flea market or i just got a great deal and dont really care about a few marks. depending on how deep the scratch is , you may be able to get it with some touch up paint of some kind. i think it gives the reel/rod character. like dirty cork handles.

i use a 4/0 ewg gammy for the super flukes (1/0 ewg for the juniors). make sure you rig it dead center. otherwise it will dart to only one side or just have a terrible action to it imo. are you just casting and retrieving? or using some type of twitch/pause retrieve?

i absolutely love music, but not when im fishing. i dont even like to be slightly intoxicated when i fish because i feel like im easily distracted or that my crank bait will come crashing into my face when i set the hook on nothing. now, if im out with someone else and the day is dull, then ill turn something on. i also fish from shore though , so my music comes from my cellphone. im sure if i had a boat with a sweet stereo , i would fish to music more.

lol. the clicker plate looks like it has seen much better days. im not too sure how much i can clean it up without opening the shaft hole too much. shimano may be receiving another call. ;D

thanks. that is the problem, but im still having drag pressure with the star backed off. i did get replacement drag spring washers that had twice the amount of 'cup' the old ones had. could this be where im getting the pressure from? with the old ones , i would have to give the drag star 3 full turns to get any kind of fish-able pressure. im also thinking the clicker plate may be worn and having a hard time seating.

how tight does the square nut need to be? it seems the only way i can get it to stay even and snug is to have some drag pressure when the drag star is all the way backed off. on my other stock citica , there is no drag pressure when its backed off. :-?

ebay is your friend. i picked up a new abu garcia 602 for $30 shipped. there are plenty deals to be found on that site.

just quick lubed my citica , and now when i tighten the drag , the handle becomes loose and looks uneven. when the drag is backed off, the handle is snug again. i had this problem last time i opened it up but i cant remember what the issue was.

1/0 for 3 and 4" plastics. 4/0 for 5-7" plastics. i use those two size hooks for almost all my plastics i throw. makes things easier since i fish from shore imo.

I have one , they do not seem too terribly heavy for a forty dollar rod. how do you like it? would the stainless guides do well with braid? I like it but I only use it for cranks , the guides hold up well with braid , that's all I use on all my rods. hm , i may have to pick one up. how is the action? would you recommend it?

not sure on the budget. i may have to get a beater rod untill i can build up my fishing funds again. i was looking at the shimano voltaeus but then i read that they are terribly heavy. ill just have to shop around untill i find a deal.

so i managed to snag an abu garcia 602 spinning reel for $30 off fleabay and now i need a rod to go with it but im not sure what im missing. right now i have 6'6" L/F spinning rod 6' M/F casting 6'6" MH/F casting i mainly fish trigs , weighted and weightless , some topwater and very few cranks and shakyheads. i will also be using this for some saltwater shore/jetty fishing. what do you guys suggest?

if it will be fished for a week or so , i would grab the clarus. when you decide to sell it , PM me lol.
