in some states , like florida , possession of less than an ounce is punishable of up to 5 years. obviously people will grow it themselves. but not everyone has a green thumb. it may be easier for them to go to the corner store. if its legal and grown here in the states. why would dealers find it elsewhere? maybe then the authorities will focus more on the kilos of herion being brought in. this argument has been beaten to death many times on many internet forums and it never goes anywhere. some people feel the way they do and wont change. thats fine with me, but there is a reason why millions of people are trying to legalize/decriminalize pot and not heroin , coke , meth , etc...

i know! it took me long enough. a year and some change ago , i would catch them on watermelon super flukes like it was my job. now they didnt want anything to do with whatever i had...untill today. this was my 3rd or 4th wacky rig fish , so it was a huge surprise. i never really throw them because of the drop offs - i always get snagged. the fight? oh man....ill just say my confidence in 6lb suffix seige went way up lol.

wait , what? are we talking about legalizing marijuana or hard drugs in general? you have to be a fool to not realize the benefits that would come from legalizing pot. clothes/fabrics , foods , fuel , paints and tons of other things can come from the hemp plant. cancer and other patients with serious illnesses prefer to ingest/smoke pot to feel normal rather than take those pills that eat away kidneys and livers or chemo , or whatever else they are doing to those poor people. it would obviously be cheaper too. now there would need to be a degree of education in schools about it just like they do with alcohol. its not for everybody. alcohol is legal , not everyone drinks. if pot were to be legal , what makes someone think that everyone and their kids will be on it? : also think about the money we would save by not sending kids to jail or prison for possession charges. i think we could use that money right about now...dont you?

im guilty of putting used hooks with new ones. though i use a double sided plano box. one side is for new hooks and weights , the other , for a few cranks , used hooks/shaky heads and a small spinnerbait. so they arnt directly in the same compartment. as long as ive been doing this , the only hooks ive had rust were those tru-turns. i wont be buying those again. i do come across packs of silica gel at work , ill snag a few and see what happens.

went out today in the blistering heat for a couple hours. first cast with my BC i got a nasty backlash i couldnt get out so i fished the rest of the time with my light spinning rig. cought a few small LMs on a 4" kinami stick bait t-rigged but that bite quickly turned off. decided to throw some cranks and a shallow shad rap i picked up with no bites. so i moved to another spot on the lake and fished the stick bait some more and landed couple more hungry smaller LMs. i quickly realized why i havnt bought any yamamoto or kinami baits - they just dont hold up at all. just as i was thinking about leaving , i decided to wacky rig the torn up ones. cast it out and let it sink. twitch it a couple times. then i felt a slight 'mushy' feeling so i set the hook. ... i immediately thought i set the hook into the rocks. NOPE! my line took off like mad man. i held the rod tip high to try and get the beast from behind the drop off. shes swimmin left and right and i can feel my 6lb mono line rubbing against the rocks as my lines being stripped. i seriously thought i was going to loose it at that moment but then i see the familiar light green side of a peacock! my heart started racing. she saw me , i saw her and we both panicked. shes taking off to the deep while im trying to keep her in the shallows and it seemed like she wasnt getting worn out at all so i stepped in the water when i had her close and lipped her! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! the picture doesnt do the fish any justice. id guess she was probably close 5lb. maybe more. i dont have a scale but i do know it is the biggest peacock ive cought. man , i forgot how much these things put up a fight.

i throw smaller cranks , small t-rigs and 4" trick sticks. i have some shaky heads ive been meaning to try also..

i have the 6'6 light fast spinning rod paired with an abu cardinal 801 and let me tell you , its a BA rod at its price. i would recommend it to anyone trying to save a few bucks. im planning on picking up another. light , sensitive and a lifetime warranty? its a deal in my book.

ive never had luck with them either. when i was in plantation , i talked to a guy who was fishing a tube and caught a couple LMs in front of me so i know its possible. i notice 9 out of 10 people who post about success with tubes are in the north or not as far south as we are.

i had an older style break-barrel air rifle that was crazy accurate. not sure what happened to it though. i recently bought and sold a crossman 2240. now THAT was an air pistol. bolt action , c02 powered .22 pistol. they have the same thing in rifle form (2260?). im thinking that will be my next air rifle. they have a crap-ton of aftermarket parts for them too.

water/gatorade? cuban sandwich? cigarette? sounds like a meal to me! Darn right. The best part is the Cuban Bakery across the street from my development opens early to feed the cops. They've got like 10 pound Cuban sandwiches. I'm a big dude, and half of one can fill me up. Plus, I can grab some cuban coffee to go with it. 8-) nice! next time im up that way , ill have to check it out. i love the ones that open early. there is one on the way to my work that opens at 5:30 am 8-). cafe con leche or colada , toast and a papa relleno and im ready to work lol.

i know exactly what you mean about that heat. not only do i fish in it , i have to unload trucks in it too and it really is unbearable. ive been thinking of picking up one of those long sleeve columbia shirts but just the thought of long sleeves out in this heat/humidity makes me sweat. let us know what you decide on!

picked up a pack of straight shanks and lost one to a snag right away. im not sure if im rigging it right , but the hook point stays exposed and ready to get snagged. i went back to the EWGs and offsets.

i started with 2 on when i first started to learn to use a BC (citica D). now i stay with only 1 on unless im casting into strong wind.

the cans of naptha i saw at HD said something like 'NS Naptha V' or something like that. ive seen cans that just say 'naptha' and figured the ones they had in stock contained detergents. which do you use? and how do you guys dispose of the used stuff?

great success! just got done. didnt do a complete tare down , just a simple relube , upgraded the drag to carbontex and went with abec 5 bearings. i was following these videos (1 through 3). it really was not bad at all. the only thing is that i may have my drag nut not tight enough. first i snugged it , it was too loose. tighted it a bit more , too tight. now its somewhere in between lol.
