  1. In Chicago, it's Mexican ingenuity.
  2. Sucks. Cherish the memories. His demons are at rest and it sounds like he deserves an eternity of peace.
  3. If you've never been to a large boat show, I recommend going...without the wife and kids, if at all possible. It's been a few years since I've been to the Chicago boat show and didn't go this year because center consoles are not represented well in the north and, that will be more than likely my next purchase. Was hoping to get into one this year but I still have to close up some loose ends. I'm planning on going to Miami in February 2025 for the show.
  4. I've gone thru the apocalypse twice in my life. People were getting in car accidents because the dead run over bugs caused the streets to get slick.
  5. It's not banned. It's still available for a price.
  6. The technology has been around for some time. Inverter compressors are becoming the norm in residential air conditioning and refrigeration. Guess it all depends on how much money one is willing to spend. Keeping fresh oxygenated water in the livewell is key. My Lund had pickups on the bottom of the hull. I could run pumps, pickups, or both. In all the years I fished tourneys, I never weighed in a dead fish that wasn't foul hooked. The dead ones were always tongue or gill hooked.
  7. Spare batteries or a Honda generator. Quiet and low emissions. .
  8. Couple pics from the Chicago Fishing Show Learning how to flyfish and sitting in the IDNR's ATV @Glenn the kid is wearing a Suzuki hat
  9. I believe if a boat has a head and a sink, the interest can also be deducted.
  10. Here's an opinion piece with a little bit of a different view https://thebasscast.com/2024/01/23/the-rising-tide-escalating-prices-and-declining-quality-in-the-bass-boating-industry/
  11. Class A motor home and a boat. Best of both worlds
  12. The SP model of the Basscat Caracal is advertised at $79,900 on the Basscat website. There's $40k in add-ons on that boat show model.

Today's Jeep isn't that of yesteryear. I never owned a Jeep but, I worked at a body shop in the 80's that had a Jeep CJ rigged up with a snow plow to plow the lot. Fun little truck, for what it was.

My SuperDuty doesn't have an auto setting on the electronic transfer case. The hubs themselves has auto and manual settings. The last Ford truck I had prior to this was a 84 Bronco. Had to manually shift the transfer case, manually set the hubs, put it into reverse to engage 4wd and then go about your day.

My 2017 F250 has auto/manual locking hubs. I keep them set in auto year round.
  16. People come and people go. Life happens to those that have other plans. Priorities change. There is still plenty of knowledge that still hangs around here. We're bass fishing folks. We're not saving the world. There are other avenues available to keep in touch with folks.
  17. Ain't that a b....
  18. Have you called a lawyer that specializes in disability? or only consulted the website? Can you get disability from the VA? I am disabled by definition with the Americans with Disability Act. I got injured at 42 and was told by the comp lawyer, in the state of IL, it's almost impossible to collect it under the age of 50...12 years later I'm still working 50 hours a week. My ex wife has been on SSDI since her mid 20's. She was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. Or, as I call it, alcoholism. Hasn't worked a day since we divorced. Collected child support from me for 14 years for 1 kid plus whatever the state gave her. Also collected SS for her other kid after his father offed himself. Her father bought a condo, turned it into section 8 housing, rented it to her and got his mortgage paid by the government. And it's people like that, why the honest folks get the short end of the stick.
  19. Enjoy!!! And to all you folks that didn't participate, you too could have won all that for a minimum donation of just $5
  20. He dropped them...they dropped him...who cares
