  1. What were you doing in my bedroom and why wasn't I there? This is what kept me warm at night when I was a kid
  2. New apartment? If it's not noisy neighbors, it's just going to take them a little while to get used to the new surroundings. I'd try and make their bedroom as comfortable as you can with toys and maybe some posters of tv shows or books they like. Read them a story before bed(Oh, how I dreaded that. It would put me to sleep, not my son) Eventually, you'll need to be stern with them, or you're never going to sleep alone again.
  3. State Farm. All policies are not the same. Liability, contents, full replacement, are things you want to consider. Contents, is everything in the boat that is not part of the boat.(includes removable items like electronics) You need a dollar value for this and the higher the number, the more expensive the insurance. Full replacement. Lets say you have a 50k boat and it sinks 10 years from now. 10 years from now, that boat will only be worth 15k. 15k won't buy you another 50k boat. Full replacement will give you the 50k you originally spent.
  4. You could get by with a push pole. You will NOT be happy with a 12v motor
  5. My home water. 25,000 registered boats on roughly 9000 acres, and they're all out on the weekends. The busiest inland waterway per acre in the U.S. is why all this is in question. The biggest problem I have is the Lake County Sherriff patrols for "no wake" and "user sticker" violations. They are not actively looking for intoxicated boaters like on LOZ or Haveseau. My opinion is steep fines and jail sentences for BUI offenders. Not punishing the innocents. I fished on Lake Wisconsin last week. 9500 acres. If I saw 100 boats all day long, it would have been a lot. What a pleasure it was not trying to balance on the front deck while the wakes of 30+foot boats zoom by.
  6. Load it with some CCI Maxi Mag TNT rounds and she'll be good to go.
  7. So, you like looking at older women?
  8. First you need to make sure you have voltage at the motor with a multimeter. You could have a wire corroded or get loose or pinched somewhere.
  9. In Chicago, we're on top of the food chain, and what delicious food it is.
  10. My bro-in-law has one. He loves it. I think you need to buy all the accessories to really get your moneys worth. Fans and thermometers and whatnot.
  11. I laughed when I read that.
  12. First I'd like to say my heart goes out to the family of the kid killed on Petite last year. I also expressed when this happened, the family had NO BUSINESS pulling a kid on a tube on Petite Lake in the middle of a weekend afternoon. There are plenty of other areas on the Chain they could have gone that have less traffic. Better yet, go out before 11am LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE PULLING A TUBE DOES. Water skiers are out at 6am. That should tell you something. Chances are their son would still be alive today. This should be of concern to all IL boaters. In the wake of the accident last year IL legislators are going after all boaters. http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/special_segments&id=9158876 http://www.ynotproject.com/home/news/news/y-not-files-complaint-against-fox-waterway-agency http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/7715 http://senatorjuliemorrison.com/index.php/component/content/article/45-features/87-morrison-introduces-several-boating-safety-measures http://fox2now.com/2013/07/26/boat-operators-will-be-subject-to-same-drug-and-alchol-testing-as-drivers-in-illinois/ Proposed legislation Banning boats over 26' on the Chain (more than 1/2 the accidents in IL last year involved boats UNDER 26') http://www.dnr.illinois.gov/safety/Documents/BoatingAccidentReport2012.pdf Tying a red flag on your boat if you are pulling a tube Requiring a boater education course to operate a boat in the state of IL if you were born after Jan. 1st 1990 40mph limit on ALL IL waterways. BUI to go against your drivers license How about a law that states if you have no common sense you must be confined to your home? Personally, I hate the large boats on the Chain. If I owned one, I'd much rather be on Lake Michigan. That being said, they have every right to be there just like you or I. I do not operate my boat while intoxicated and don't advocate it. So your drivers license gets tagged with the dui, your insurance goes up or gets dropped, you risk losing employment or not finding employment because you had a few beers on the boat? Maybe they should set up BUI checkpoints at the Rt.12 bridge. I got picked a few weeks back for driving 4mph in the no wake area. I don't understand! Did something magic happen in 1990 that prevents those born after Jan.1 unable to drive a boat. Must have been the same magic that prevents a hunter born after 1980 from hunting without a safety class. Tying a red flag to a boat pulling a tube. Really? I guess it may be effective, similar to the cars with "Baby on Board" signs that no longer get into accidents. There have been accidents involving fatalities for years on the Chain and other IL waterways. Why the legislation now? If Senator Julie Morrison hadn't been related to Tony Borcia, his death would have blended in just like all the rest. I see it as just another money grab. Poor kid. Maybe his parents should learn from their own stupidity than worry about the stupidity of others. Rant over
  13. The real question should be "Will Aaron Martens EVER beat KVD?"
  14. Faith who?
  15. My ol' ladys son works for an algae and mosquito control company. He went thru quite a bit of training, Keeping wildlife and fish healthy is their number one priority. Quite annoying when were out fishing and he's schooling me on different types of algae.
  16. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
  17. You could always get a cover up that says TATTOOS ARE PERMANENT I've got them on my upper arms, legs, chest, back, and lower lip. None which are visible with jeans and a t-shirt. Rather than being a Trooper, what about a beat cop? Probably won't need to remove them.
  18. This statement is true as far as Chicago police. I have numerous CPD in my family and there is a ton of overtime because the force is understaffed. It's cheaper for the city to pay the OT than hire new officers
  19. I've got the 998. There selling in the $1200 range online. Don't buy diapers this month.
  20. Cisco makes a stainless mount which is not really versatile but they claim it will hold under any conditions. http://www.ciscofishingsystemsltd.com/shop/sure-lok-electronics-mount-5225 It's a nice looking unit but may not be practical for a bass boat application because of the lack of dash space. The 2.25" RAM I have on the bow and dash. They have held thru some pretty rough stuff.
  21. I don't know what your dash looks like but here's a pic of mine with the mount I told you about
  22. Maybe you could work out a deal with JFrancho. At least you can trust him.
