Living with regret......
Regret: more than I care to admit. After carrying that thousand pound weight around for a few years I decided to look forward and not back. That's not to say they went away it simply means at that point I chose to net let them define me. I all but gave up drinking, gave my energy to my kiddos, work, and making better choices; in word and deed. I had a stroke in September 2022. That certainly put things in perspective. I am very fortunate in that I never lost speech, I have regained use of my left arm and while it's not what it was, it works. My left leg is almost useless but leaps and bounds better than on September 5th. I posted in the fishing reports a while back about my last trip. I worded it poorly and some thought it I was back fishing. I wish. I said the above about my stroke for only one reason. I could have gone down a path about regretting my pore choice in diet, letting stress undo me, or generally not taking care of myself. NOPE! I refuse to let this define me therefore I don't allow regret to creep in. It's counterproductive. DO NOT let regret define you!

Tackle Warehouse communication issues?
I stayed away from posting on this simply because some feel strongly about certain subjects. I, as a rule, buy from my local tackle shop first. They are competitive price wise and for the most part can get me what I want if they don't have it. One item they can't get direct is Shimano Reels. I order all my Reels from Tackle Warehouse. I order some tackle on occasion and sometimes some clothing. I usually order ahead. What I mean by that is it will get here when it does and won't make a difference to me. That said I apparently am lucky in that I usually have my stuff at my door within a week. In the end I will continue to order from TW when I need to and while I might find it cheaper(maybe) elsewhere I will stick with my local shop and TW.

Who do you think of???
Jerkbait : @Dwight Hottle T-rig: @Catt Jigs: @Siebert Outdoors Overall knowledge: Too many to count. There's something that hasn't been mentioned and that's positivity and a willingness to share anything they can. @A-Jay @WRB @Mike L @Columbia Craw Too many to list. I never tire of reading here. A-Jay is detail oriented, Positive, and has helped me more than he knows. WRB: this man is an Encyclopedia! WRB, whether you know it or not you have helped so many people. I can speak for others when I say thank you! Mike L you sir are have shared so much with me about Boot Tail swimbaits. It's unreal the ride I have been on them simply by asking a simple question. You shared more than what I asked. The rewards have been great. Columbia Craw: one of the best sense of humors on the sight. Always has good things to say and he likes Rebel baits! lol Techniques... if you associate certain techniques with fisherman then in my mind any technique I want to know about I come to Bassresource.com and ask many of the members here. There are so many folks.......

Surviving winter...
Nope and while I'm speaking strictly for me.... there are very few of my buddy's that complain about Summer. Sometime around the end of September I look forward to the cool down it usually lasts two day before I'm ready for Summer again. lol Nope and while I'm speaking strictly for me.... there are very few of my buddy's that complain about Summer. What lure do you keep a secret???
3/16 Siebertoutdoors.com Zenith shakey head tipped with a Zoom 4" Dead Ringer. I don't know that it's a secret other than I don't see anyone throwing one.

Last trip
Without going into detail this was my last trip of the year and is more than likely the last until next year. My son-in-law took me to school on this trip and I couldn't be happier. I caught nothing but babies but I caught plenty of them. He caught several in the 2 lb. range and to witness each one was a thrill. Y'all keep the fish pictures and reports coming!
