  1. This right here^^ seems like everyone on one is either a D-bag or some kid acting a fool. I did see a guy this weekend fishing out of a regular one though. Looked like he modified it to hold rods and some boxes. Also had some kind of little lawnmower looking motor rigged on the front. Never saw anyone fishing from one.
  2. Irod Fred's crank launcher and Powell 7' 11" max 3d.
  3. NOS = nitrous oxide system. Haven't you watched Fast and the Furious? ? In this case I'm pretty sure it means New old stock though. Reel looks really slick.
  4. I won't lie, when I first read the thread title, I thought you were referring to a lake that had never had a tournament on it before ?
  5. Exactly what I did. Went back to 4 carrier for all my heavy cover fishing. Kept the 832 on my scattered cover and deep setups.
  6. Well mine sits on a steep slope so guess I'll give it heck till she snaps. They're not that expensive ?
  7. Cool pics and awesome name that kid has!
  8. I fish some of the Mosaic phosphate pits here in central FL. They are deep with steep drop offs and very little vegetation on the banks. I approach them like a regular deep lake. I first focus on the piles of spoil material left behind by the draglines that excavated the pits. They form islands and humps everywhere. Those spots are magnets for schools of bass. I usually start with deep diving cranks or a Carolina rig. Then if I can get a couple bites I'll throw a big 8" magnum flutter spoon or a big swimbait. The only times I have ever caught anything on the banks is during the spawn. They're are some monsters lurking out there though that's for sure.
  9. How do you support the front? I already use wheel chocks. The boat is stored backed in on a steep grade though. Just want some extra stability in the front.
  10. Rage toad until I run out of current stock. Yum tip toad will be taking it's place after. Great action and the price is right.
  11. I stick with the proven stuff that always works. For worms I keep straight tail and ribbon tail in sizes ranging from 5-12". Craws ranging from 3-5" in both do nothing and swimming styles. For topwater I use only kicking leg style frogs like the rage toad and tip toad Bait fish imitators are either paddle tail or straight tail for twitching. Colors are mainly black/blue tip, junebug, green pumpkin and white. I'm confident that I can go anywhere with these and catch fish using them with different presentations for the given conditions.
  12. This^ plus a heavy 8' punching rod is all I use for heavy pads. You lose very few if you detect the bite before they bury themselves too deep.
  13. I take it there's nothing out there already made huh?
  14. Good idea but sounds like a lot of work ?. And I don't have a hole saw.
  15. Does anyone know of a heavy duty trailer jack wheel stop? The regular ones you find for sale everywhere are hollow and made of pretty flimsy plastic. I've been through a couple already and am looking for something stronger.
  16. The 704 is different than the 734 I referred to. The shorter rod is stiffer.
  17. No skunk here but darn close! Don't feel too bad.
  18. Yeah bad choice but after not being out for so long I figured it would be better than nothing. I was wrong, haha.
  19. Epic face plant! Waves were unreal on Okee then the rain moved in by 9am. River was a bust as well. Ended up on Lake Josephine just to redeem myself with a couple dinks. ?
  20. I never fish a crank without upgrading the hooks first. You never know when that giant is going to hit.
  21. Welcome from a fellow Floridian!
