  1. Bring your flipping stick! They're spawning in and around some heavy junk! These cold fronts will surely push them even further in.
  2. Come on guys step it up! I just donated and if I were to win I would like to donate the lures to someone who actually needs them. I have way too much already and wouldn't be fair. Thanks BR
  3. Yeah that and some minor cosmetic changes. Also, I noticed actions have changed on some models too. For example the 73xh frog rod is now labeled as being moderate action but the lure rating increased to start at 5/8oz instead of the old 1/2oz. And the 711xh is now only rated to 2oz instead of the old 3oz.
  4. Well that was fast! They are officially listed on ALF as the Expride B. Of course they're not in stock just yet....
  5. For me it's the same ol except this yr, I'm going to get out there EVERY single chance I get with my son! All those times when I say I want to go or am going to go but then find an excuse as to why I can't will be eliminated. No matter how hard it's raining or how strong the wind is blowing if I have time I'm going out there. Life is too short for procrastination!
  6. UPS does this crap all the time! I had a couple of rods coming from ALF and they did the same thing. I was inside at around 9:30pm I get the email that my package was delivered right then. I go outside and nothing there. I called UPS and they basically called me a liar. Told them I could send them my surveillance footage so they could point out exactly where they saw their driver come to my house. They eventually called me back and said it would be there the next day. I'm guessing the drivers run out of time and mark things delivered to make it look like they met the delivery deadline?
  7. Guys look on the bright side.... It's 75° and sunny here in S. FL! ?
  8. Big 10" live golden shiner free lined! Finds em every time.... ?
  9. For a "budget" setup I don't think you can get better than the Dobyns Fury 795 or 805 swimbait rod and a Lew's super duty wide spool. It's what my son uses and they handle everything you want to do perfectly. If you look around you can get this combo for a little over $200 new (eBay and for sale forum sections).
  10. If you like Phenix I would recommend the Recon Elite 796. It's absolutely perfect for anything up to about 4oz. It has a really soft upper section and a massive backbone. Look up the review on TT on it. Even though it's labeled as a flipping/punch rod they agree it works better for big baits. It's what I use and I couldn't be happier with it.
  11. All Shimano/Jackall right now with the exception of one Phenix Recon Elite for swimbaits. All 2020 Metanium MGL reels and Poison Adrena, Poison Glorious and Expride rods.
  12. TW has rapidly been slipping in the customer service department. My last couple orders took almost 2 weeks to even get invoiced! Everything was basic stuff that was in stock. Emails frequently go unanswered at all. It is what it is though. We have options.. ...
  13. I love mine too except for the lock nut being cork. To fix that I wrap it in carbon fiber. ?
  14. What's wrong with the blank and guides now? I actually love the blanks and the fast actions. I use the Adrena for certain things do to their more moderate tapers. They are definitely raising the price so I would hope they give us more than just a monocoque rear handle!
  15. That's exactly what I was thinking also, about the white section seen in the picture. I'm also hoping they do away with the cork lock nut and opt for something like on the Adrena.
  16. Does anybody have any info on the upcoming Expride reboot rods? I've heard a lot of talk about them but was only able to find one picture of a spinning model. Looks too have the Zodias rear monocoque style handle.
  17. Mentally... NEVER... Physically, now that's a different story! I took a 2 month vacation when I switched positions at my work and transferred. On the 4th day of being out flipping and punching for the most part, I was exhausted! When we're down South where we do some long walking along Miami canals I usually do 2 days before I'm done. Now back in my 20s I had a few weeks where we literally fished Mon - Sat with zero issues.
  18. If a certain product is worth an increase I don't think it's unreasonable. But, MB is not one that I could justify! They are plagued with breakage and QC issues. I've tried the Orochi XX and US destroyer lines. Both had issues right away. One broke(XX) and the other was literally falling apart(lock nut and handle). But that's the beauty of having so many options in the fishing world. Let your wallets do the talking.
  19. Deep diving crankbaits for me. Soon as I throw something else in those same areas and depths, sure enough I'll catch something! I only have a handful of them left that I use as search tools in deep south canals to get peacock bass to follow them and expose their position. ?
  20. I don't use many scented baits but the Berkley powerbait has to be the "loudest" and longest lasting that I do use.
  21. None at all whatsoever!
  22. I couldn't agree more with the ChatterBait comments! I've never had any luck with them either. I have a bunch of new Zman ones I've been meaning to unload. ?
  23. 8" black curly tail worm with a 1/4oz tungsten and 3/0 gammy. I can flip it, pitch it, cast it, drag it, swim it or even use it as a topwater.
  24. I completely agree with this. And @A-Jay to me glide baits have always been a search tool. I throw them to find fish since they rarely resist following them. After that I thoroughly break down the area and catch the followers.
