What depth do you think the crank was in when you were getting bit? Was the lure still diving or were you at the bottom of i'ts depth rating? I ask because that tells you what part of the water column they were feeding or holding in.

I'm here to tell you that drop shottin' catches more and more of my shallow water fish. This includes a lot of bigger bass, that turned their nose up, at a well placed jig or texas rig the previous cast! For pressured bodies of water, there is nothing like it. I have been hitting a stained lake for the last couple of weeks with all of the power fishing techniques with mixed results. jkarol, that's exactly what I was thinking. Back in the day, we threw black jigs, buzzbaits and worms. This, by the way, was during daylight in stained or murky water.
