Uses Of A 6'6"-7' Medium/ Fast Baitcasting Rod.
I got a 6'6" Medium/Fast Extreme rod a few weeks ago. They were only $60 and I had a Lews SS1 I needed a home for. I have a handful of MHs and only a couple Mediums so I figured I would add another Medium to the team. I just dont know what I am going to use it for yet. Any suggestions?

Damiki Hydra?
Saw these on TW and was thinking it looked cool, anyone use these? How do you rig these suckers? Looked through youtube and saw it rigged almost wacky style, with a Damiki Neko Skinker. But it looks like it could be rigged T-Rigged too. How do yall use these? Any pictures of rigging techniques would be awesome. Thanks

Most Sensitive Rod In The 100 Dollar To 150 Dollar Range
I think you would be better off getting a Medium. But like somone else said, Make sure you handle an ***. Some people dont like the handle. But for soft plastics with an 1/8 oz up to 3/8 oz I think a Medium would work. I would look at reels that are known for casting smaller baits too, like a shimano 50 series reel.

Most Sensitive Rod In The 100 Dollar To 150 Dollar Range
I love my *** Black. Its a darn good rod for $100-$120. As for M or MH, that is a tricky one. According to rod rating, it would look like the M would probably be better for 1/8 oz-3/8 oz but I am not sure how the backbone is of a Medium powered ***. I have a 7'3" MH and I feel like it would be really tough to cast an 1/8 oz jig or T-Rig on it. Its a stiff rod. Being so stiff, Im guessing a Medium would be your better guess. An interesting note...according to ***, the ML spinning rod is made for those weights...

Frogging Rod Size And Action
Since you said you will not be fishing super heavy cover i would go MH/Fast. I started with a cheap berkley lightning rod that was 6'6" mh. I used it starting off while bank fishing. It worked but was heavy. I got a 7' mh mojo bass rod last year that works for me. Still not sold it yet, but since i dont have pads or super heavy cover I really dont think a heavy rod is needed. I've been happy with the MHs. I dont know why but i prefer the old lightning rod, but its probably because I've used it so much more...

Walking The Dog/frog Help....
Like others have said, the most important thing with walking the dog is keeping slack in the line

Make A Spinning Rod And Reel Recommendation.
Tackle Warehouse has the old Daiwa Eceler model on sale for $55. Its a darn good reel for that price. I am probably going to get another one pretty soon. I already have two of them, but at that price its pretty crazy to me that i havent already picked up another. If you are not sold on Daiwa I would go with a Pflueger, cause it seems they know their way around a spinning reel

What Kind Of Line You Have On Your Baitcasting Reel

Shaky Head Style
I've thrown all kinds of stuff on a shaky head. One day the only thing we could get them to bite on was a Lake Fork baby Ring Fry and a zoom centipede. Just be sure when you are using a thick bait you are using an EWG hook. I love the spot removers, but you can only use them with skinny plastic baits

Bank Guys, Are You Using A Bag, Box Or Backpack?
If I am walking the bank I will take a backpack. I normally throw hard baits/frogs/terminal tackle in a 3700 Plano and stick it in the backpack, then put a gallon size ziplock with plastics in it. It also leaves room for pliers and a bottle of water and maybe an extra shirt if its cold, or some extra stuff. Its just more comfortable to walk around with a backpack. And you can fish with it on if you just want to hit a certain spot real quick, before moving on

Baitcasting Tips For Accuracy
I agree. I have weak small wrists as it is, but I cant cast anything with any distance one handed. Two handed 99.4% of the time for me. There is a rare time I cast one handed with a baitcaster

Veritas 2.0
Those Collegiate Discounts rocked! Wish I was still in college so I could get that discount. Murray State has had some darn good fisherman. I'm still a bit shocked we beat them at Kentucky Lake. And A Veritas 2 for $45 is awesome. I wish I could get that!

Lightest Power Rod You Use In Tournaments...
I think I will probably purchase a ML spinning rod this winter or spring. I tend to start smaller in tournaments to get that limit, then try to upgrade a bit. But most of the time the smallest things I throw are small 4" Finesse worms on an 1/8oz shakey head. I think there are times a small scrounger may be a good choice, but my Medium with 8 lb test makes it a bit tough to throw. Thanks for your responses.
