  1. I personally thought the 6'6" Medium was a little stiff for spinnerbaits. Maybe the extra 6" makes it a bit more limber. I like a pretty soft rod with a spinnerbait
  2. you showed them the add and you got the new ones?
  3. Ive caught more fish just chugging the lure back than walking the frog. I feel like i get more bites when the line slaps the water. Don't know if its just my imagination or if the sound gets the fish excited
  4. I tried to put the bait on by the tail side. Didnt even think the other way. But now that i think about it, it would look awesome the right way. Im gonna give it a go. Probably gonna go out to walmart and get some more from the bait bonanza. Since its so skinny I imagine you would get quite a few finesse bites. Stoked to give it a try
  5. Shakey head with a 1/4 oz spot remover. I like Green Pumpkin or Watermelon Red or Watermelon Purple. Havent used Green Pumpkin magic, but looks wicked tight.
  6. I used mine for the first time with my new reel. All I threw today was a spinnerbait and the rod seemed a bit too stiff for that. I will use it for smaller plastics and jigs and maybe topwaters. Really light rod. Great deal!
  7. I was about to post this as well. They were on a different wall than the other walls. Both spinning and baitcasting. I may get spinning and another baitcasting
  8. that my friend helps. I thought the skirted side was the tail. I will have to give it a go.
  9. I would probably use a tooth pick to get the epoxy up there. Sounds pretty rad. What kind of wire are you using for the spinnerbait?
  10. How in the world do you rig this bait? I got some in the Walmart bait bonanza for cheap and I tried to put it on a spot remover but that worm is just so dern skinny. Do any of yall use this bait?
  11. I like the Reble Wee-R Squarebills. I got some white ones so I can make them my own with sharpies
  12. I would have to say Ike and Grigsby. Grigsby is the nicest dude in the world. Ike is just a nut and reminds me of myself in some ways. Seems like a dude I would wanna be friends with.
  13. I had considered trying to make my own baits, but maybe I wont. Thanks for the heads up!
  14. Ive never used it, but thats the only Flouro that my uncle uses. I mentioned that i had heard that it wasnt great, but he said he never had issues.
  15. i have been interested about them as well. I have caught quite a few bass on bucktail jigs, but I have not tried the spro. they look pretty fancy
  16. The new white Chronach would probably look pretty sharp.
  17. hey dawg, it still seems like a heck of a rod. Im not concerned that it is a V2. The appearance looks better with the reel I strapped onto that mug. Gonna be awesome
  18. I really like the SPRO frogs. My two favorite colors are the white and Green Tree (pretty much FireTiger). When the legs melt or rip you can take a spinnerbait skirt and a collar for spinnerbait skirts and makes some new legs. if you cut a slit in the little let part that the soft legs come out of, you can superglue the collar with skirt into that leg and it will be pretty much like new. Its the silicon not rubber material but it still works and I have caught a bunch of fish on the same frog after replacing legs like that. Another thing I like about the frog is that it catches big fish. Id say 90% of my fish i have caught on it have been 3 lbs or more
  19. I typically fish it like a spinnerbait. Just crank that mug, maybe give it a twitch or two.
  20. as everyone else is saying. Slack line is the key.
  21. I got the 6'6" and am thinking I will use mine for topwater and smaller texas rigged baits. Gonna be my back up spinnerbait rod as well. Feels like a really nice rod. Wish I would have gotten a 2nd
  22. so, not worth the hassle of going to try to exchange it? it feels pretty dang light
  23. I opened mine once I got home. Is the gen 1 a good rod or should I go through the hassle and see if i can return it for the Gen 2? Is it worth the hassle? I will want the same action and everything.
  24. Yeah. Everyone went after this mug. Heck of a deal!
