  1. It looks like it could be an alien in a movie. But for real, I like it. Looks like it could be pretty rad. I think I would rather T-Rig it than put it on as a trailer, but i like thicker bulkier trailers. This one looks kinda skinny
  2. Hey everyone, hope you are having a great day. I was looking on TW to waste some time and I saw the Cush-It Big Bass Rod Float... It looks pretty goofy in the picture with Shaw Grigsby, but the benefits of what Shaw has said may out weight the goofyness. He said it was made to cushion your side/rib area when setting hooks. That right there may be worth it if you are having a good day. But he also added that the little bit of weight it adds makes the rod less tip heavy which then helps increase the sensitivity. He said he also had a few rods fall overboard and the one that had the Cush-It stayed floating. That is pretty rad too. I understand he may be just talking it up because he helped design it and he may be sponsored by them, which is why I'm askin yall if anyone here has any experience. Is this something anyone here has any experience with?
  3. Hi my BR friends. I got 2 of these last spring and didnt really throw them much at all last year. I was wondering if any of yall had success with them. When I got them I figured I would throw them if the topwater bite was on and I needed a big bite in a tournament. I didnt come across that situation last year haha.
  4. What have you used it for to up to this point?
  5. I love my Veritas rods. What everyone else is saying is true. They are a bit stiffer than you would think, based on their power. I dont mind it though. I like my 2 7' MH casting Veritas rods
  6. I really like my Bass Pro Crankin Stick, however I have one of the older models. Most of Bass Pros rods are pretty good quality in my experience.

After just reading the title of the thread I was thinking that you were going to say put it on like a skirt between the sets of legs. It would look like a Hula Lizard, like its from hawaii. Putting it around the neck like you are thinking could be cool. It would look kinda like the dinosaur that got Newman in Jurassic Park
  8. I used a red sharpie on a Summer Craw Paca Craw, putting just a few small marks on it. After a few days the color seemed to really "grow" into the bait. It got less vibrant and looks awesome. Its been on my work bench for about 2 weeks now and i smelled it and there is no sharpie smell anymore. IT just has the regular paca craw stink, but it looks custom and really neat. I wouldnt shy away from it. And if worst comes to worst, put some garlic scent on it after. MOst garlic scents are strong enough to mask the sharpie I would think.
  9. My initial thoughts are the same
  10. I have only tried Power Pro and I am very satisfied. So I will be another to say Power Pro is great for the price
  11. you mean the ones that blink and click?
  12. I go to the academy in Springfield. Since its only about 45 minutes to an hour to table rock and Bass Pro is around, it keeps a decent stock of fishing stuff. Nothing compare to academy, but a lot better than any walmart
  13. The 6'6" ML spinning Carbonlite seems like it will be really good for dropshotting and things like a roadrunner for skittish bass. I found 2 MLs in the mess. A Carbonlite and a Daiwa Lexa. The Lexa felt more like a MH than a ML or even a M. It was thick and stiff. Crazy to me that they can call it a ML. im trying the ML Carbonlite out tomorrow.
  14. Sorry man. Maybe its just the one by me... They had a the Rainforest Black Popping Spro Frog for $1.98. Whenever they have them out I get them all. Havent had any out last few visits. When they are ready to get rid of stuff they really get rid of it.
  15. 8 lb. Largemouth on a 5/16 oz D&L Baby Advantage Jig in Cumberland Craw
  16. No wonder there were so many. I only saw one of the Rod I was looking for (6'6" ML Spinning). I should have taken a picture of the rods. It was incredibly hard to find anything. While poking through it I saw a Daiwa Lexa and a St. Croix Rage Rod too. There was just a smorgasbord of rods there, all for 40% off
  17. They had all their Strike King Hard Swimbaits on sale for $3.99 at my Academy. King Shad, Baby King Shad, and Sexy Swimmers. I picked up 3 of each
  18. Talked to a guy working at the Bass Pro in Springfield MO (headquarters). He said they put the Pro Qualifier out Thursday night for a few hours. Through Friday night he said they had sold over 400. Put everything they had out today which had to be at least 200 and by 2 they only had about 30 left. He said they made a call to the warehouse to send more. I asked if they were trying to get rid of them cause they were going to have new ones coming out. Said the newer model will come out later this year, in the Fall he though. Mentioned they were just trying to get some of the stock out of the warehouse. I believe they achieved that. They had probably 150 old Carbonlites, 50 Extremes, a bunch of Quantum KVD Rods, and few Crucials and Clarus's, and a few EXOs. Did they those rods everywhere or did they send a lot back to Springfield?
  19. I looked at the site yesterday. Isnt Aaron Martens the only person on the Pro Staff at this time? I think they only have the pro staff page right now cause they scored such a highly reguarded angler
  20. I would look at the Extreme rods while you are there. I have had a good experience with them. They are sensitive and strong. I have heard of the CarbonLites breaking more than the Extremes. Not saying that they are brittle but I have heard more stories of them breaking than the extremes. I love when you have a light rod, but I feel like what you get in the lightness factor, you lose in the strength factor. I am not saying the Extremes are heavy, but the Carbonlites are super light. If you are looking for light and sensitive I would go Carbonlite, if you are looking for strength and sensitivity I would go with the Extreme.
  21. I was at a small tackleshop looking at the rods and these are some of the ones they carry. The 7'6" Heavy rod has a guide really close to the handle, makes it look like it wouldnt be good for flipping, but I am thinking its more for big Swimbaits. That rod is a bit heavy, but since its made for baits up to 6 oz I can understand the reasoning. I am thinking about getting one if I decide to get one of the Spro BRZ Rats.
  22. Thats how I am feeling. I am going to Academy this weekend to see whats up.
  23. Hey that White/gray Aarons Edge looks A WHOLE lot better than that pea green Phenom rod that he was holding in that video. That thing is hideous!
  24. I have 2 Vendettas and 2 Veritas rods. I love the Veritas, havent fished the vendettas enough to comment too much. The Veritas are very light, but very sensitive and very stiff. A lot of people had them break, I havent had an issue with that yet. Served me 2 seasons so far and have been work horses. They are very very stiff.
  25. I have the first model of Ardent. I like it a lot but have not gotten any more. Others have looked better to me.
