Knot for Straight Shank Worm Hooks ?
So you believe the inside of a bass's mouth is this huge cavern which allows the lure to pivot freely? When fishing smaller hooks & weights do you still use a snell knot? If not why? Do you snell your jigs? If not why? If snelling does what it claimed shouldn't we be snelling every hook?

I need a new Jig rod ...
In my opinion EVA Grips cheapens a rod!

Lures
Plastic Worm (Texas rigged) It's a long, thin shape resembles the profile of a wide variety of forage in the world of the bass, including earthworms, snakes, eels, and baitfish. Its action is almost entirely dependent on the contours of the bottom; and the rod movements of the fisherman, making it very random. It moves with little noise; the noise that it does make comes mostly from the random clicking of the sinker as it hits bottom. Bright colors and larger size can be used to increase its attracting qualities. Because of its basic resemblance to a wide array of living forage, this lure presents very few negative cues, and is hard for big bass to learn not to hit. Doug Hannon I would replace "worm" with plastic of many varieties & from weightless to punching. The Texas Rig & a Jig-n-Craw are arguably the #1 & #2 most productive lures. Me! I gonna start right here, but I ain't ignoring my other 20%.

Probably 80% of the time I'm throwing a Ultravibe Speed Worm or Speed Craw. I'm more likely to change locations than lures.

What are your thoughts on Nitro bass boats?
When Alan Stinson founded Nitro they were high quality, that quality dropped off when Bass Pro Shops bought em. Those early boats put a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Took years to overcome.

Which bass would you choose and why?
I would be happy with a LMB that's 25% less than the WR! That would be a hell of a fight! Big Spotted bass around here is 3-4#

True Cost of Fishing Tackle
Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price Companies are not in business to lose money so even at a huge discount they're still making money. Sales prices show me what the product is actually worth.

Is rod/reel aesthetics super important to you?
I threw Calcuttas for yrs not because they were cute little reels but because they were solid as an anvil, versatile as a pair of Channellocks®, & dependable as a 30/30!

These are tools ? I don't abuse my tools, I maintain my tools, but I don't baby them either. They do have battle scars & each scar has a memory!

New grill..
I don't waste time with a charcoal chimney, I have a Oklahoma Joe Highland offset smoker. I put the charcoal in, hit it with the torch.

New grill..
Y'all can laugh all ya want! I switched from a charcoal chimney to the flame thrower after my brother bought one for clearing weeds. He tried on the charcoal & 5-10 minutes you're cooking. Besides that it's cool as hell to use!

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
IDK! I like em both ? I started fishing Toledo when there was standing timber everywhere & some still had leaves. In the early 70s came the Hydrilla, Coontail, & Milfoil. Tennessee Bay grass flats, Millionaires Point, & Indian Mounds!

My latest count shows 27 double digit bass entered into the Toledo Bend Lunker Program! Again this doesn't include those entered into the ShareLunker program or those not entered into any program.- Why do I struggle to find and catch fish?
That tenet has been debunked 10,000 different ways.- Why do I struggle to find and catch fish?
10,000 hours = 1.142 calendar year. Dude said he's been fishing 3 years. - So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
