  1. All I use is X-Fast, to me I get into the "rod" faster. But it's personal preference!
  2. Have him test a Stanley spinnerbait Stanley's Wedge, Vibra Shaft, & Vibra Wedge have more flash & vibration than any spinnerbait on the market. Stanley Vibra Shaft is tapered starting at the head. This not only allows more vibration but offer thicker wire at the tie (less breakage). As far slip rings, snaps, rubber bands, ect I simply tie a Palomar knot & chinch it tight. At 70 yrs old I can still slide the line back up if necessary!
  3. The guys in black helicopters will show up & whisk you away to Guantanamo Bay! Seriously guys what's wrote on rods are suggestions! Read the line weight on more rods & you would never use braid!
  4. Problem solved! ?
  5. On Toledo Bend it's understanding, I ain't getting that jig back!
  6. Who's holding the rod? I don't care if you have a $1,000 rod it's only as good as your "sense" of feel. Then you have to add in ones ability to interpret what being felt. What's transmitted up the line, down the rod, through the arm, is often lost in the brain. FYI my Worm Rod is a Powell Inferno $99.99
  7. Jason Christie - Falcon - Spinnerbaits What's the question ?
  8. What ya doing off the reservation! FYI Seaguar Tatsu 20# 200 yd spool $61.99 Berkley Big Game 20# Ain't gotta tell ya! Many will argue but I don't find Fluorocarbon as abrasive resistant as Big Game.

Just another tool in the bag! Chatterbaits = grass Spinnerbaits = wood Swimjigs = both
  10. Yeah ya right ? Don't care what y'all think!
  11. Read over all the answers A Senko type stick worm. Straight tail worms Craw worms Creatures Plan of curltail worms Texas Rig fishing ain't as much about the lure as it is about presentation. My suggestion start shallow & target everything you see! The #1 key to understanding the Texas Rig is felling the bite. Once that little light goes off you're done, you will not wanna throw anything else.
  12. I have combos that never change. The only time I take the reel off is to clean both or respool.
  13. 10-15' offshore is my "shallow" bite even during late winter/pre-spawn.
  14. Start Early, start deep, start with something on the bottom That's me year round! It's very well known that there is an early bite shallow. What y'all ain't understanding that same early bite happens deep as well. Deepwater fish are less affected by pressure because all y'all are shallow.
  15. Carolann is the first girl I fell in love with & the first girl I kissed! Growing up our families, those of 2-3 uncles, & a couple friends families would going camping in remote wilderness locations. Our childhood dream was moving to Africa where I would become a wilderness guide. Fast forward 30+ years the only wilderness camping we do has central air/heat. The campsite better be with driving distance of a mall. We both understand each other enough to know there's a time to spend together & a time to be apart. Picture dated 1965
  16. @Back to Front Welcome! How y'all are? Great report! I agree with @A5BLASTER they look like white bass. If shiners didn't work IDK!
  17. Some of y'all need to work on your reading comprehention skills.
  18. 15# Berkley Big Game Mean Green

Merci Beaucoup ? Everyone is totally shocked because the next morning after having the stents installed I felt perfectly fine. 6 different meds, a couple lifestyle changes, & I'm good to go. Thanks y'all for all the prayers!
  20. Idle speed when outside the boat lanes. The deal with boat lanes is they don't run north & south or east & west but rather every coorandent on a compass. This makes it impossible to run waves at the proper angle. I think it's first driver & then a combination of all three in the proper proportion; length, width, & horse power. I have a friend who has a Champion Mean 16, it's only 16' in lenght but it's has a 90" beam & coupled with a 115 HP Merc you feel completely safe in any water.
  21. #1: properly setup reel #2: proper technique #3: educated thumb Results; adequate distance & increased accuracy.
  22. Stanley orginal vibreshaft white, double gold willowleaf, red head, 3/8 oz
  23. Keep in mind backlashes are operator error! Reel setup improperly Or Poor casting technique
