Coonass opinion 😉 If you ain't got it you still can catch fish. I hear a lot about scopers just staring at a screen all day. I have 55 years experience on Toledo Bend fishing offshore structures. I can not begin to guess how many hours I've behind a console staring at some version of a depth. I've spent countless hours standing on the front deck of a bass boat, foot on trolling motor, eyes on screen, glancing up at that boat shed, that pine tree over yonder, or lining up bouy markers. All because someone ain't invented spot lock yet & I wanna target suspended bass. Instead of fishing to find em, I now find them, then fish for em. Personal I like the hunt as much as the catch. Only change I plan on making...Spot-Lock®.

Having access to it doesn't necessarily mean it was in his boat. There's a lot of young anglers who are outstanding with out. I will agree give those talented "kids" this technology & look out.

Sorry! But winter, spring, summer, or fall. Thank God for spot lock! Depending on depth, these fish will be less effected by winds.

@J Francho Exactly 😉 There are "things" in bass fishing you can control & there are things you cannot control. Wind is one of the things we cannot control, so we learn to deal with it. Each situation is different & is dealt with in the moment. I've kicked bass on wind blown banks & I've gotten skunked on wind blown banks. Why? IDK!

Don't know if I have enough time left on this earth to address that.

During the Toledo Bend tournament I mentioned Joey Cifuentes was Larry Nixon protégé & the two were staying with Tommy Martin along with a up & coming 18 yrs phenom. I could not remember the "kid's" name. I went back & rewatched the interview with Tommy Martin. The "kid" is in fact Trey McKinney!

I live 30 minutes from the Sabine River & fish it often. I love bass fishing! I don't care if its Toledo Bend or the Sabine River.

Why do I love fishing East Texas? Lake Fork, Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend. This tournament is awesome! I don't care if its Trey McKinney or Lee Livesay.

I bought some, haven't tried em, but definitely will.
