  18. Interesting, i use 40lb suffix and never have any problems.... I use straight braid in freshwater, but in salt i tie on about 8 ft of 40 lb mono....... for that i use an alberto knot, and never had an issue.... its basically an albright, but wrapped downwards, then back up with the same amount of loops....google alberto knot to see details..... thats all i got...hope it helps!!
  19. As i was talking with my buddy today, we recalled an encounter with a rabid raccoon on a fishing trip..... As we pulled up to our spot (deep in the woods along a heavily wooded trail) there was a raccoon in the spot where we normally park. This was in mid day, and the coon looked rather ragged and torn up to say the least. We both thought immediately that something was weird... Needless to say, we both then noticed the tell tale foam at the critters mouth, so i proceeded to reverse the truck......and the crazy thing chased my truck down the trail!!!!!!!! Well, we had to go elsewhere, but returned a couple of hours later... and thankfully it was gone...but we were quite weary still!!! Just wondering what wild experiences you have all had while trying to get a good day of fishing in?????
  20. you picked the right place..... tons of the people here are extremely knowledgeable to say the least.... as a bonus, everyone is good people too!!!!!! nice to have another..

  22. good to see we have another in the bunch of us....welcome to the party.
  23. many will give long drawn out answers and possibly make a few notable points.....but i have fished the same colors for years and had great results, no matter the conditions.. all white.. pumpkin.. red shad.. junebug.. ps...while with my fishing buddy, we will purposely tie on diff. colored worms, and usually both get the same results....even if i change the color multiple times, its always about the same... a quote that i don't quite remember where it came from though goes something like this....."lure color attracts humans first, and fish second!!"
  24. its a beast!! nice job bro ;D
  25. Well here in orlando today, there were many t-storms and 20-30 mph winds. Not the ideal conditions to say the least. So between downpours i tossed a few at the pond in my neighborhood. Normally i catch nothing but dinks here (6-8oz at best), but today it changed. These are the largest fish i ever caught here, and they're still only a couple of lbs at best. Not so bad after all i suppose. the first one is the pond at my local community, followed by the fruits of the labor..... PS...can anyone help explain the weird lesions on the gills of the one bass??
