  1. It's a beauty, I am going to guess close to if not a little more than 9.
  2. Just reading what that wind is going to be is making me angry, and I'm not even going with you. I HATE STRONG WINDS when I am trying to fish.As far as baits go, a few come to mind. First is one that I am not a fan of but is a good choice,is a frog around the pads or spook or pop r on the edges. Second is a spinnerbait I preffer double colorado. A jig or pegged Tx rig plastic for the grass. And last but definatly not least a senko type tx rigged weightless.
  3. I would work that pond with senkos, small spinnerbaits (stanley compact or h&h) and topwaters.
  4. I am going to go with 5 and up.
  5. you could put the handle you kept on a shimano and it would still be the best part of the reel! http://www.bassresource.com/fishing-forum/Templates/Forum/default/grin.gif
  6. First of all Nitro you need to ease up. We all know about swimbaits on here. Take your time when posting, use some correct punctuation and spelling. FBL was asking about a certain type of swimbait, not just swimbaits in general. I think you just misunderstood what was asked. Calm down, read carefully, then post.
  7. ichibantackle.com has yellow magic poppers for 8.95
  8. As much as I don't like jigs (mainly because i suck at it) I do believe more and definatley larger fish are caught with them( in the daytime). At night, i don't know.
  9. I use a backpack
  10. Some people are just more passionate about things than others. I do that same stuff everytime I sink a good 10 foot or longer putt. Or when I chip one in from off the green. I get pumped when I catch fish, not like Ike, but I get pumped. Most of my excitement goes on the golf course when i do something good. Because i totally suck at golf.
  11. look for a castaway east texas grass rake.
  12. it's about time they came out with a rod i like. WOW that thing looks cool. I didnt read a release date 2010 like the ugly reels?
  13. God I hope they do not destroy all of the revos like they did that one.
  14. So Im looking at my new Texas Bass Fishing Magazine and I come across this article about presentations. And i see a C rigged Trick worm type bait but it is hooked like a weedless wackey worm. They start the hook through the egg sack but hook it like a tx rig(weedless). I hope I am explaining good enough to get a mental picture. Now I am sure most of you guys on here have done this, but it's new to me. Any luck on it? Floating worms work best on this or what?
  15. That is washers. 2 boxes 3 holes in each. 6 washers. can play 123 or 135 just like horseshoes. First to 21 without going over wins. Insert Bud,Bud light, coors light, or whatever you drink and have a blast. Cornhole sounds a little dirty to me.
  16. Lots of tension on the line while spooling.
  17. No, the only time you are going to get a backlash or birdsnest is during a cast or when it is disengaged as stated above.
  18. Those will never work, If you need to dispose of them I will be glad to "get rid of them" for you. ;D I especially like the double colorado.
  19. Senkos, spinnerbaits, Big Lizards and Big Worms.
  20. Really the only time I pay attention to weight is when im dealing with lipless cranks. Any other cranks I also go by depth.
  21. Here on the upper Tx coast we catch reds on spooks, gold spoons, jigheads with minnow bodies(hogies,h&h,cocaho minnow),jigheads with shrimp bodies(gulp, powerbait, riptide) and flukes. Or any other fluke type bait(TTF,Big Bite Baits) They make a ton of fluke type baits for saltwater. I only have ever needed 2 colors of any type of plastics for saltwater. Glow and Shad (silver / black back).
  22. One of the ponds or lakes on the King Ranch here in Tx.
  23. BPS 12" squirmin super worms 6" Zoom lizards Stanley minnowhead, wedge,or icon spinnerbait Bandit cranks footloose to series 300 Rapala Xrap hot steel and black and gold Norman DD14 and DD22 Pop R or Baby torpedo
  24. I started a thread about this about a week agao. All in all I think they are awesome. I have some, but I have not really had the chance to go fish one of my two fishing lakes. Rayburn or T-bend. But I did try them in a pond that has HEAVY fishing pressure. No takers but the action on them is killer. The 3.5 inch is $7.99 and the 4.5 inch is $8.99. I personally liked them so much, I am going to get every color in both sizes. I did not even think, that is the 3.5" tied on my revo on my picture on the left side of the screen.
