  1. Same for me. This winter I spent around $400 on gear, and winter's not over yet either!!!
  2. bribe her. for a 5 lb bass she gets new make-up, 7 lb - new shoes, 10 lb- new purse !!! ya never know.
  3. traps work, and looking under rocks works also. In some lakes there are weeds that have died and they float on the surface, and the crayfish like to go in that because minnows get stuck and die ( easy meal for them)
  4. The fact that his brother wanted him to fish, instead of being with him was cool. I couldn't imagine having to try and do that knowing what was going on at home.
  5. hahaha. that was great. And Glen, I had Iaconelli as my pick, but it didn't happen. But top 10 isn't bad, especially for the conditions
  6. my dad for teaching me how to fish when I was about 3 years old.
  7. I wonder how many classics he'll win by the time he retires....
  8. How come no answer is just simple? Also, it always goes off topic. People actually think that If I had only $700 to my name I'd spend it on a trailer? I HAVE a savings account (with plenty in it), and I DO NOT HAVE a wife. Every year I take my tax return, and I buy something for myself. It was a simple question that people who don't know the situation have to throw their two cents in. just aggravated.
  9. Every time I catch a bass, I won, I figured that fish out. that's what I like.
  10. Some good input. Thanks guys. I think I'm going to get a trailer. It would be nice to see different lakes !!
  11. So I'll be getting about $700 back from my tax refund. I have a Jon Boat, that I keep at my home lake and would like to buy a trailer to fish other lakes. I only have 4 rods that I fish, and you could never have enough tackle. What would you do with the money? Trailer or rods, and more tackle???
  12. good idea with the plastic bag. you could get a tournament weigh bag, put water in it with the fish, and weigh it. then take the fish out and re-weigh the bag, and subtract the difference
  13. I would suggest reading about choosing the right line in the "articles" section on the site.
  14. i have a 14 ft x 32 inch tracker Jon boat. It's pretty heavy for one person, It's difficult to keep balance while standing, especially if someone is with you. I'd say wider is better, but you might not be able to transport it
  15. depends. then u could fish and not worry about taking a bathroom break !!!!
  16. my only bar fight was pretty wild. A guy put his hand on my throat, so I put my hands around the back of his neck, and was going to give him a couple knees to the face, and about 4 of my friends tried to pull us apart. It was unsuccessful and me and the other guy ended up sliding across the wall knocking pictures off the wall, and we went through a table and broke two stools. as I was on the ground a 300+ pound girl cherry picked me up off the ground onto my feet. I got kicked out of the bar for a fight I didn't start, and then his friend came outside trying to start with me. It was a crazy night and I have a scar on my leg from going through the table.
  17. hahaha. That's one you can picture and it's funny as hell
  18. I would donate blood, but I can't because I'm on coumadin and I get blood drawn every week. I don't think you should have to offer a "gift" for people to donate. Maybe a poster of someone who is sick and needs blood. Visual tactics usually work pretty well for marketing, or in you're case blood donations.
  19. Funny. Maybe that's what you get for fishing out of a kayak !!!!!
  20. I know McDonald's does a lot of good charitable things but come on. The most fit, top athletes on the planet are sponsored by the fattiest food you could possible eat? I just think the IOC needs to re-evaluate who their sponsors are , and maybe make a change for the next Olympics. It's like telling little kids eat fast food and you'll be an Olympic athlete someday ! just ironic, I think
  21. I think they're pretty cool looking, and that's probably about it. I'm looking to get a Daiwa split grip as my next purchase.
  22. Welcome from Scranton and the Poconos !!!!! Nice to see more PA guys here !!!!!
  23. Welcome !!! don't be afraid to post about any topic. there are some strange ones here
  24. Here in Northeastern Pennsylvania, it's not even remotely close to bass fishing time. Maybe late April hopefully... I'm dying to fish. I think I might bring my rod to PetSmart and try to catch some Oscars !!!!!!!!!
