  1. 5" or longer - baitcast small/short senkos - spinning
  2. Fishing License What fishing license (TN,AL,MS) should I purchase to be able to fish anywhere at Pickwick ? Ive heard that with the TN or AL license will cover everything, is that true ?
  3. Cast - G.Loomis MBR842C 7' MF/ Steez 100SHA / 12# P-Line CX Spin - Steez Compile-X 6'8" MLF/ Steez 2500 / 8# P-Line CX
  4. I've got that one, its called the anglers tote and it works well, holds up to 8 combos if they are mostly smaller low profile reels. I also modified the top bracket and remove the hangers so its more streamlined. Its an easy way to transport 8 combos and keep them organized in the truck but I don't take it to the water.
  5. JacobK, I can't believe you are selling that setup. It's perfect for jigs and frogs. Micropterus salmoides, Several people have asked me for IPT measurements on all 4 models of Steez baitcasters. I'll try to check it and post this weekend.
  6. Im planning on arriving Sat afternoon between 3-4pm.
  7. I'm truly sorry RW, I knew that would be a stab in the heart for you but it just feels so much better with the steez reel and that makes it the sweetest rod on the planet. You would have to pry it from my cold dead hands.

  9. I agree with you on the physics lesson but 6" more on a 7' crankbait rod really shouldn't make that much difference. IMO, it's more personal preference. My favorite is a Daiwa Steez FleXlite 7' Medium Reaction.
  10. Thats a great reel for $70 bucks.
  11. Wow I thought it would help if I used the same rod, reel and bait that he was using.
  12. nice hawg
  13. Go upscale and get a Daiwa Steez CompileX 6'8" spinning rod. You won't regret it !
  14. Welcome to Bass Resource gotarheelz14, Im a tarheel also from High Point, left for TX yrs ago but still a Duke fan. roadwarrior sums it up the best, 3 combos, 6'6" MF spinning, 7' MHF baitcast, 7' M/MH Moderate. These will cover most all your fishing needs.
  15. shes a pig
  16. Daiwa Steez FleXlite 7' Med
  17. nice fish
  18. Bags of dog poop from people walking their dog near the edge of the water and too lazy to take the poop bag home with them.
  19. I like to power fish with cranks and spinners or topwater with buzz or frogs. However I do a lot of pond fishing so Im forced to finesse using various plastics therefore I have become very good at finesse fishing. When the boss at my house approves my boat purchase and I get more time on bigger water I know my skill level with other techniques will improve.
  20. BAD! If he was really your Buddy, he would have handed you another jig to tie on and then taken the rod back.
  21. The short answer is YES it can handle it.
  22. nice hawg.
  23. The only noticable difference by me with the 7' rods (other than they cast farther) is that I have 2 rods less than 7' (6'5" & 6'8") and after using the 7' rods a lot, when I pickup the shorter rods it feels like somethings missing. I prefer the longer fishing rods most of the time but its just a personal thing.
  24. Do you also use the palomar for braid ? For me, the palomar doesnt seem to want to tighten cleanly with braid, I still use it for the same reason, it has never failed.
